If Kessler brings the same fire he brought to Froch, Bute is getting KTFO

I see what your saying, but sometimes when a guy gets in these tough fights and he gets use to losing it can become routine. He has the ability to pull it off, but he seems to have lost a few steps... I don't think he beat Froch but it was close enough to say whatever...

Bute doesn't have nearly the experience of Kessler. But I dont knower of thats a bad thing right now.. Hes been getting beat up lately, and Bute is just a much fresher fighter.. Hes got the movement to really make Kessler look flat footed... But, hopefully we will see..

I like Bute in this one, especially coming in as the less experienced fighter; it somehow works wonders for him, makes him less prone to become unfocused and give it his best.

 

I don't think Kessler is very sharp anymore. If he was he never would have fought Froch in the fashion he did. His timing and therefore accuracy has looked off since his comeback against Perdomo in fact.

 

It really is a fight that has captured the imagination as many of us imagine the fight going so many different ways.
Hopefully Kessler will be back to full health and the rest has done him good

 

Nobody knows in what condition kessler will come in june 4....He say´s his eyes dosent bother him atm.And he sparred 10 rounds the other day,that also went well.
So IF he turn up june 4,with no injury problems at all.Then the layoff could have gived him his hunger back.In these interviews with him recently,he says he feels great and that he think he can fight a couple off years...I think he will make some noise again in smw.Either fighting the s6 winner or lucien Bute.I can´t wait to go to parken,and watch him.After that it will be clear to see where his at after his layoff...

 

Not sure if Bute gets knocked out but Kessler has a high enough workrate to trouble Bute plus Kesslers chin is decent enough to withstand some punishment from Bute. As long as Kessler didn't get handicapped too much between the Ward headbutts and Froch fight I think he should win a UD vs. Bute.

 

Magee is a southpaw, Kessler is not.

 

Kessler has beaten Mudine (who was very good at the time) away, Beyer, prime Andrade and Froch. He can win on the big occaisions. Bute lost to Andrade the first time and even without that 12th round he wasn't doing as well as Kessler but, he did destroy him in the rematch and I know that he's talented. The way he beat Bika was exceptional. He is incredibly dangerous when motivated.
Kessler isn't what he was, or at least hasn't seemed it lately, but he is still world class. He can still fight, he will test Bute's chin and stamina and it will take a lot to beat him. Anyone saying Froch beat Kessler is talking out of there back side. Froch only won about 2-3 clear rounds at best. Kessler won 5-6 rounds clearly. Scoring that a draw would have been really unfair on him. I think most of these people saying he won haven't seen that fight.

 

let's see first how Kessler's tune-up goes; but it seems to me the stage is already set by some people: if Kessler wins Bute was overrated, if Kessler loses then he was well past his prime. Kessler beat Froch on activity and he seemed a little off because Froch really knows how to manage distance; i don't know why some people prefer to say Kessler is declining instead of giving Froch more credit as i think he deserves

 

I think the pre eye injury Kessler wins, the Kessler that fought since I'm not to sure about

Not only would Kessler need the fire from the Froch fight to beat Bute. He would also need the speed and accuracy from the Andrade fight.

 

Stop...As much as I love Kessler, as a smart fighter, he knows he cannot put some raw aggression on Bute for 12 rounds cause he won't be able to take all the shot. Little reminder, Kessler is Danish not Mexican. Mexicans can take it all, discourage you and gazed you out in th eend of the bout like Andrade did ( not it was NOT the punch, he was EXHAUSTED). The guy that will beat Bute will outbox him with his speed. Not this way. If a coach gives this kind of a plan to his fighter against Bute that would maybe he doesn't like his guy(lol) or simply doesn't know boxing. Second option would be more valid

 

He also needs Bute to be slow like Andrade (footwork and handspeed), no head movement, no backfoot counterpunching and be continuously agressive. He would definately school Bute. Seriously now, Kessler would win only if he lands meaningfull punches and by that denies Bute to retaliate. If Bute times him, Kessler will find himself in deep waters
