That's true. Dawson was badly exposed by Pascal, and his varied lead right. Hopkins will dominate Dawson, little quitters with no bottle have no chance vs Bernard.
You have no idea, how to react or respond to me. You're mimicking me slightly...... Like i have just stated before. "Don't be smart, if it's not going to go down well" If you're having fun..? Fantastic, i am aswell. I'm making this thread, interesting to me. Talking about what i want to talk about, and bringing up issues which are my concerns. Like i said.....Its Over for you. You have tried to be smart, and i have ****ed you up on every base:hi:
Ok.. But for me personally, i saw many things. Why Bernard Hopkins should retire from boxing, during the Pascal Rematch. If he fights Chad Dawson......."I think it will be over"
Pascal is a better fighter than Dawson though.... he's actually got some variety. Dawson is just a gifted athlete, with **** all workrate and can be shut down quite easily. A fighter with low work rate against average fighters will be reduced to pawing against Hopkins and will be dominated pretty easily.
I can show you clips from Hopkins Pascal I & II....... And Bernard Hopkins, looks like nothing special technically. "Because he's not" He's just taking advantage of what's not there. We can play this game all day.
Yep he's no coward, and he always always comes to fight. Just has lapses in concentration.. Bernard Hopkins is OLD, and his physical conditioning is OVERRATED. Once somebody pushes him outside of his covert zone, it will all fall apart for Bernard Hopkins. "I don't like Chad Dawson, and I'm not even a fan of his"
Come now PK, Hopkins is old make no mistake but to say his physical conditioning is overrated is complete nonesense. What other fighter has won a World Title at his age? Obviously none. He was doing pressups at the beginning of the 10th round ffs! Hopkins is a legend so you can say you think Dawson will beat him but you are kidding yourself m8. :deal
His conditioning is OVERRATED. We have seen Evander Holyfield at 46 years of age, fight and beat a fighter who out weighed him by 7/8 stone...? And nobody gives Evander Holyfield credit, people only say he's losts his marbells. "Nobody wants to talk about Evander Holyfield" People need to keep things in context with Bernard Hopkins, "I know he's a great fighter". But he is old, and deep down he knows his limitations. He hide's his weakness very well, he still CANNOT handle a good consistent pace in the fight. "Its the reason why he held Joe Calzaghe to death" So what if he did 3 push ups at the beginning of the 10th round..? After what..? The pace of the fight was a slow, inconsistent, spurts in patches fight. And he got up, very slowly from them push ups aswell. "I'm not fooled by that ****" And technically Bernard Hopkins has never set the world alight, he does nothing....NOTHING out of this world technically. Pound for pound Floyd Mayweather, is WAY more skilled and has more physical SKILLS than Hopkins. Bernard Hopkins for afew years now, has been taking advantage of WHATS NOT THERE, that one observation from teddy atlas, is probably the single most astute, greatest observation i have seen in the past decade of sports. I watch Formula 1, Boxing and Track and Feild. And i just think, that was a ****ing great observation. And even though all of us are all intelligent people here, Teddy Atlas summed everything up in that interveiw. Its about keeping things in context. Yes Bernard Hopkins has had success past 40, yes Bernard Hopkins..."JUST ABOUT" beat Jean Pascal. But from a technical, and logical point of view. BACK TO........."KEEPING THINGS IN CONTEXT AGAIN" One athlete named Bernard Hopkins, is taking advantage of whats NOT their technicallyl these days in boxers. Like Teddy Atlas said, Hopkins is doing nothing special. If Bernard Hopkins was 30 years old, NOBODY.....NOBODY! would be talking about these fights. You only have to look at the clips of the fight, the action....."IT QUITE **** AT TIMES". But the facts are, that Bernard Hopkins is 46 years old. And its human nature, for people to get carried away, and take things way out of context. And i beleave Hopkins is now, also guilty of taking things out of context. He is starting to almost be slightly delluded. With quotes like... "He is special" Take age out of the equation, he's doing nothing special inside of the ring technically. His last great performance was against Antonio Tarver......"And like i said before, he was ****ed physically." Bernard Hopkins is a great man, and fighter. And i give him credit for staying in "Decent shape" and taking advantage of whats not there. But whats going to happen..? when what was once here..! comes back...? And Manny Stewart in Chad Dawson, has all the RAW MATERIALS, Speed, Power, Co-ordination, Timing....... HE HAS....all the raw materials. To bring all that **** back, we used to see in the 80's if only its just for 1 fight........ If its only just for 1 night...... If its only just for 12 rounds, 36 minutes. Whats Bernard Hopkins going to do..? When a fighter comes straight down the middle with fast accurrate, laser like right hands. "Like Chad Dawson has done before" Whats Bernard Hopkins going to do..? When a fighter starts pumping out, a long, fast hard Jab. Whats Bernard Hopkins going to do..? When a fighter starts throwing, 5....6.....7 punch combinations, and on regular basis..? Whats is he going to do..? Hold..? Try and run..? Bernard Hopkins told us, that he's special leading up to this fight against Jean Pascal. When he's up against a fighter, who does these things up above. "THATS WHEN WE WILL FIND OUT WEATHER HE IS SPECIAL"
Name these fighters..? Felix Trinidad "Was a one demensional, pumped up welterweight, who could bang". At the time of the fight, if people would of "KEPT THINGS IN CONTEXT".......you see how i did that..? Kept things in CONTEXT with Felix Trinidad. They would of known, Bernard Hopkins a dominant, versatile true middleweight. "Would of beaten Felix Trinidad easy" Oscar De La Hoya "Not in the best of shape at the time of the Hopkins bout, and was still beating Hopkins up until the "Body Shot". Ronald Winky Wright "Out of shape at Light Heavyweight, and still the fight could of went ether way" Kelly Pavlik "Is a good strong fighter, but he has the landscape for a fighter WHO Bernard Hopkins can take advantage of. He's one dimensional, and is a stupid fighter at times. Like I'm just keeping things in context. And if you're gonna start bring up Calzaghe and Taylor. Hopkins did not beat any of them, Calzaghe beat him fair and square. And Jermaine Taylor beat him twice, and totally shut him down. And reduced him to 10-12 punches a round at times in the second fight. Hopkins has NEVER really beaten a true athletic fighter, who was in good shape, and who had skills and good ring general ship. A athletic fighter, with a really good boxing brain and physical skills. Roy Jones beat him. Jermaine Taylor beat him. Joe Calzaghe beat him. When Bernard Hopkins came up against these type of fighters, with athletic ability far greater than his own, and ring generalship, and technical boxing skills of there own. He was ****ed ever time. And Chad Dawson will beat him. Because in my opinion, he has all the raw materials. And Manny Stewart will, use all of these materials......."and for one night, i think Chad Dawson will deliver" "ALSO EXPERIENCE IS OVERRATED" Is Chad Dawson a 10 year old kid or something, he's been boxing for 80% of his life.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vfo88ZvsAfo[/ame] Hopkins these past few years aswell, has single handily tried to destroy Frank Sinatra's My Way. For ****s sake, just come out to the original song. This is the most annoying, entrance i have EVER seen.
