 If you're gonna directly quote PW, at least do it right. So did PW give up on 147? If he could get down there, he could put some heat on Pac and call him out.

Floyd won 6 decisive rounds. If you want to score the other six for Castillo, that is more than acceptable to me as every round was very close. The problem for Castillo here was that he concede face for body and his body shots never paid off. Judges will and should give it to a guy who lands only face shots to only body if the ratio of landed punches is relatively close.

You must be a clown  Gatti was ranked number 1 in the division at 140 when Mayweather fought him. Ricky Hatton was the champ. Look back at the ranking before you talk :good

    Check the time line

Floyd beats Oscar May 5, 2007
Paul Williams beats Margarito July 14, 2007
Cotto beats Mosley November 10, 2007
Floyd beats Hatton December 8, 2007
Quitana beats Williams February 9, 2008
Margarito beats Cotto July 26, 2008
Mosley beats Margarito January 24, 2009

Now look at this and tell me who should have Floyd fought and when.

the problem with floyd is that he retired, if he had stayed at 147 and fought cotto and marg it would be better. him retiring also gave pac the opportunity to go up and clean out welter.

No he probably isn't that dumb, but when it comes to Mayweather, the truth doesn't matter to these guys.

    INteresting.

But can we say he could have fought Cotto or Margarito in July 2008?
Or Margarito or Mosley in Jan 2009?

Didn't he clearly said he was retiring after Hatton?

:good based off that, the only person that would have made sense was Cotto right after Hatton and Mosley after Margarito which he did. But he retired after Hatton.
He said he was going to retire after Baldomir and then Oscar came and he said he was retired then, but Hatton came same then what? Say nevermind one more time and fight Cotto? Plus Cotto wasn't that big of a draw then, but I still wish he would have done it

yeah he said he was retiring in the post fight interview, but yes the Cotto fight could have been taken in July 2008, but not Margarito since his last fight was a lose to Williams.
Also Margarito in January of 2009 would have worked also, but he was still retired. Mosley wasn't seen as that big of a threat then though until after the Margarito fight
