It they fought at 135 or 140lbs then maybe I'd agree but Berto is a much bigger man. Oscar was too but he gave up all of his size advantages which is something that Berto wouldn't do. Berto enters the ring around 160lbs and btw he started his career fighting at 154lbs. Berto also has super fast hand speed and perhaps the fastest fighter Pac has ever faced. One of the reasons why Roach and Arum kept Pac away from Guzman for all these years is because of his hand speed. I just think it's a horrible match up for Pac and people are getting a bit carried away with his physical potential. Maybe down the road Pac can become a legitimate welter but I more interested to see him at 140 for now.
You said this how long ago? and whats been happening since the same huh? Wow, things have really changed in the last year plus havent they?:hey
Nothing much really..Berto would have been atomized by Pac. But we knew that already. Ortiz and Bradley are ready for Pac. Its just that Pac don't want to give these guys a chance. Instead we're getting JMM III. Its okay though, Leonard fought Duran when he was an old man too.
Collazo exposed both Berto and Ricky Hatton, very under rated figher IMO wish he was more active though I think he can win a title. I agree I dont think Pacquiao or Roach want any of these young guys right now who are obviously near their peak... instead we are getting some bull**** left over already been there done that type of fight.
Pit made a fool of himself here... like always. He was 125% sure back then, I wonder how sure he is now?
