Exactly. And, in fact, Bowe and Lewis were all set to fight in early 1995, but Lewis went and got himself laid out by ordinary crackhead Oliver McCall - just like Bowe would have had they fought, and World class ATG Hasim Rahman later did.

Oh, and he didn't fight Holyfield or Tyson when it mattered either. Seems to me like Lewis was the one finding ways to not fight as many of the best top level ATG fighters as he could. He preferred the Tommy Morrisons, Oliver McCalls and Hasim Rahmans of the world. And some of them took him out!

Neither Bowe or Tyson wanted to give Lewis his fair chance. Evander Holyfield the warrior was the only one who granted Lewis a fair shake.

And for that, I commend the commander, the rest will always have a blemish for sidelining Lewis for so long.

He did get stretched by McCall, and he did get poleaxed against Rahman, both losses he avenged without question. His whiskers weren't the greatest, for sure.. but you can't dog him for his excellence in the ring. Bowe didn't want none at all, Tyson paid him to fight Evander Holyfield instead.

The debate was about "Fear" who would of one, fair shake, blemish etc does not prove Bowe or Tyson feared Lewis.

He striked fear into US fans, as they and the two thugs (Bowe and Tyson) knew what he'd do to them inside the ring.

Tyson said himself he always knew of Lewis ability and that he'd be major trouble for him. Was he lying?

I think fear is the wrong word to use. But I think there are quite a few UK boxers that are going to move up and shine over the next few years. I am personally waiting for Kell Brook to stand up and finally ****ing do something. I think he is going to be something special, even if he talks in one of the most bizarre ways I have ever heard. Also, Frankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders look great too. Khan, obviously. Froch without a doubt. Haye is a ***, though. Nathan Cleverly is looking good too. There are a few others but overall, those are the ones I am looking forward to seeing in a few years the most.
