Yvon Michel (Pascal's promoter) has recently contacted the IBF and HBO to discuss a Cloud-Pascal fight. The article goes on to say not to be surprised if Hopkins-Dawson winds up in Montreal and is paired with Cloud-Pascal. Obviously, this would hinge on Cloud getting past Yusaf Mack next month on HBO.

That would be a hell of a card if it comes off.

this is the fight that makes the most sense.

Pascal is 1-1-1 against Hopkins and Dawson, and Cloud obviously wants to take on the winner of Hopkins vs Dawson.

From an action stand point Pascal-Cloud is probably the best fight at 175 and one of the better ones in boxing. This would be one of the best doubleheaders in years. Not sure if it happens but I'm hoping it does. Hard to say but I'd lean towards Pascal in a very close fight.

it'd be an incredible card but it seems like it'd be awfully expensive for regular HBO. That doubleheader is something they'd have to consider going to PPV with.

Sounds about right for a Generalite.

I like Cloud in this fight. I think Pascal's stamina will be his undoing and Cloud will make him pay for his inactivity. Pascal's fast bombs will give Cloud something to think about though and may buzz him early on.

I dunno, do you think Cloud is likely to be much more expensive than Diaconou? They had no problem already getting three of the four on a regular broadcast, and the fact that it got such a good rating might make them a bit more flexible about what they're willing to spend.

This is a card I too would really love to see, but my big worry is whether Pascal and Hopkins will even want to be on the same bill at this point. Pascal could very well refuse to fight on a Hopkins card because of the lawsuit, and he also might want a guaranteed crack at the winner, something I doubt Hopkins would be particularly excited about.

Sounds too good to be true. Terrific idea though. Hope it happens.

I think Cloud will pressure him, and not allow him to rest, I've seen Glenn Johnson hit Cloud with some serious shots and couldn't drop him, I have no reason to believe Pascal wins this fight. I don't know that he brings one thing to the table Cloud doesn't, and I think Cloud is better conditioned and tougher.

Agreed. Cloud has to make it through those first 4 rounds where Pascal is most explosive. After that, it's all Cloud. Someone is getting KO'd in this one.

Cloud will deserve the victory, but like history shows, Pascal will get a bizarre comfortable decision...

The experience that pascal earn wile fighting B-hop 2 times would gave him the victory!

Would Hopkins-Dawson be the main event in Montreal? Pascal should take an easier fight first IMO the two losses to Hopkins will be very hard to come back from.
