Yes I do believe he planned to tease people and came back out of retirement for a few fights here and there, part-time stuff.

Haven't you noticed that every time the fight was close to being done Mayweather came up with something to ruin it all?, why hasn't he asked Marquez for blood tests?, it obviously started with Mosley as a clear sign the Pac fight won't happen unless his new boxing rules are applied. Pac doesn't need to bow down to his rules being the one that achieved more and continues to achieve more as we discuss. If Mayweather seriously wanted it he would have made it like he made his fight with DLH despite the endless disadvantages in the contract. He has no desire and it's obvious, he's not active in the ring, is he?

Your premise is that Floyd really wanted the fight. Hence, the burden of good will is on Floyd's side. If he really wanted the fight, he could have unilaterally paid Marquez the step aside money, instead of merely suggesting the idea of a buy out. Moreover, doing so would give him further leverage in the negotiation table considering it's a bold move. Unfortunately, he didn't do that.

Talk is cheap. His mere suggestion of a buy out of his contract with Marquez, doesn't help in proving he really wanted the fight with Pacquiao to happen.

You can say all the same **** about Manny here, if He really wanted the fight he could have paid marquez when that came up, what held him back? Floyd was up for it.

He also could have just taken some test and made the fight happen, But he didnt, Why?:huh

the problem is, neither man wanted/wants the fight bad enough. which will in turn affect their atg standing.

With all due respect, Bazooka, your original post is all about Floyd's genuine intention to have the fight happen given your hypotheses. I'm just refuting them. So how come Pacquiao is in the picture all of a sudden? I know he is the other party to the most wanted fight of our generation but strictly speaking, we are talking about Floyd Mayweather here and, according to you, his genuine intenton to fight Pacquiao. Let's stick to that topic and subject. Pacquiao and his intentions shouldn't be in the discussion here.

O please. You want to know why Floyd asked for 154 pounds. Because Roach wanted a ****ing catchweight. So guess where they ended up fighting? At 147.
    That's called smart negotiating

Exactly they are going to hit him low, so he may as well hit them high to make sure he gets what he wants.
