Why should he have to fight outside Germany :huh. He was the champ, the champ often gets to fight at home, you often travel to the champ, and Sven made big money fighting in Germany. Do you think Ottke - Mitchell would have the same crowd in America and make the same money?

Explain why Ottke should have fought outside Germany? The best SMWs in the world at that time were all based in Europe. Ottke beat Americas best SMW.

Should Ward fight outside of America then? I think he should have done at least once in the S6, but he didnt and has had all his fights in California

21 defences WBA IBF belts speaks volumes

Im NOT American, not defending Americans!
Sven Ottke was never that good. He got alot of controversial decisions, beacuase he was a home figther. In me eyes he lost atleast 3 fights (at home haha)!
Im just saying: No fight outside Germany = NO ATG!
And hey i dont give anything for Ward. Great figther yeah, should he have fought out USA in the Super Six: yeah totally.
Can i done anything about it? NO!

So because I dont agree with you that someone has to fight outside of Germany and asked you to name fights other than Reid that you found contraversial you hide.
I have been objective and agreed about the Reid fight, just asked you what others you felt were so bad and why fighting in Germany should be a factor when Hopkins made all of his defences in America. Its the same thing

Why don't u mention that Roger Tilleman is a corrupt fat ******* who screwed Reid in a fight that a blind man could see Ottke didn't win or that Mads Larsen clearly beat Ottke. Little things like Mundine never actually beating a world champion in the ring for a belt, picking up vacant and interim titles. Why don't you mention any of that, because it doesn't suit your argument thats why. Rattle off as many stats as you want, he is not an ATG.

Ottke was a decent enough title holder but he was not a great fighter, not even close and to suggest otherwise is ludicrous.

He never even proved himself to be the best in his division as he ducked Calzaghe who offered him the biggest payday of his career and even offered to fight him in Germany. Calzaghe would have annihilated him and he and his promoter knew it.

Though he did fight some decent opposition. His resume compared to Calzaghe's at the time was more impressive. He unified against Mitchell, he fought Tate and Brewer to get recognition in the states which is why he was often ranked above Calzaghe during their parallel reigns.

But he did have some controversial fights especially the Reid fight which was a blatant robbery of the highest order, the ref in fight should have been taken out and shot.

Calzaghe fought in Wales, England, Belgium and America
Hopkins fought in Paris, Canada and America
Jones fought in Austrailia, Russia and America

They at least went out of their comfort zone

Ottke was a joke, complete paper champion

Read what I wrote before commenting.
I never mentioned Calzaghe, just Hopkins and Jones and look again. As champs Hopkins and Jones never fought outside of their home country. Understand now?
