What did you all think of him? Could you envision him working in any fights in the US? I actually think he worked hard and did a good job, despite the missed knockdowns.

Im not sure about the knockdowns myself to be honest, they said when i was watching the Dawson fight that the ring was slippy due to the advertisements or some bull****, Diaconou and Dawson were slipping quite a bit.

not making excuses just saying it could have been that considering what was said on the undercard

Forget the knockdowns......he was warning Hopkins for EVERYTHING but ignored numerous Rabbit punches! I thought he seemed very biased.

I fetl that since Bernard made sure the judges were neutral, that the ref was going to make it hard on him.

He did a good job & didn't let Hopkins pull his usual bull**** the way Cortez did. Pascal was slipping on the stupid advertising, so I'm glad he didn't call any knckdowns either.

That ref was awful. He missed two KD's, and Pacal's CONSTANT rabbit punching.

He also allowed Shannon Briggs to suffer a terrible, terrible beating from Vitali that should have been stopped about 4 rounds sooner than it was. Briggs will never fight again.

I'm not a Briggs fan, but I watched that fight, and it was like watching some poor kid get tortured. **** this ref. :good

Did Briggs not have corner men? **** that, if a ref had stopped that fight, the wailing about early stoppage, a man on his feet with a KO punch is still a live body etc etc would have been enormous. Briggs would have come out with something about taking a man deep and drowning him, and millions of comments about Briggs WBO win in the last few seconds of the fight would have been thrown out there.

Maybe he could have spoken to the corner, I'm not sure if he did, but a guys corner is there for a reason.

But yes, it was like watching a 10 year old fight an 18 year old.

    Poor.
Is there something about British refs?
Wait Joe Cortez is American. Never mind.

People say it was the advertising which im sure it had somthing to do with the knockdown. But Hopkins was fighting in the same ring, and pascal wouldn't have gone down without being punch. He did go down a lot, which tells me he has poor balance. Knocked down should have counted imo. As for the ref, he looked pretty bias.

Other than missing the 2 KD's he was ok. Oh and should have warned Pascal for rabbit punches.

British refs are optically impaired and cannot see rabbit punches, or else cannot deduct pts or DQ someone for this, even though the rules call for it.

His 'mistakes' all seemed to favor Pascal...

Pretty bad to 'miss' two kd's but, forgivable...Any ref that allows rabbit punches, especially to favor one of the fighters, should be bannished from the sport...It's one of the most basic and important part of the job, protect the health of the fighters...See Gerald McClellan...

not only to KD but alot of head butts and rabbit punches too. Ref didnt have no control of the fight what soo ever. Pascal was getting away with all kinds of stuff. Hopkins did some dirt too but Pascal was out there with his.

REFF SUCKED DONT LET HIM DO TITLE FIGHTS PLZ.
