Manny Pacquiao, Mosley Both Steroid Free; 1.3-1.4 Million PPV Buys
    Opinion by Alex Groberman
(4 Days Ago) in Sports / Manny Pacquiao

Not that this will stop any rumors of steroid abuse, but the postfight drug tests that were submitted by both Manny Pacquiao and ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley came back clean.

Keith Kizer, the Nevada Athletic Commission executive director, made the results known nearly two weeks after the two boxers “captivated” audiences with a match that ended up going to a decision.

The pair tested negative for any form of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), steroids and recreational drugs, Kizer relayed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The news couldn’t come at a better time for Pacquiao, who just last week was accused of PED abuse prior to his infamous fight versus Oscar De La Hoya.

Despite the lukewarm reception of the bout, Pacquiao and Mosley drew a career-best number of pay-per-view (PPV) buys for the Filipino champ.

The non-stop promotion of the fight coupled with some network TV screen time for three episodes of Fight Camp 360 on CBS proved to be a recipe for success, leading to approximately 1.3 million to 1.4 million buys for the Showtime-aired PPV.

Prior to this, Pacquiao’s best showing was 1.25 million buys for his 2008 war with De La Hoya.

    Another fellowship of accountants wannabe?

Who cares if it made 50 PPV or 1.4 million? At the end of the day, not even 1/2 of one cent goes to your pocket!!!!!!

Only the *****s like to compare PPV numbers!!!!!!!

Why can they just compare when they are fighting ........ wait, he is on traumatic stress vacation from hearing Pac's name everytime he goes out.

    Idiots!!!!!!!

Fraud is ***** and the sooner *****s accept, the easier it is for them to move on and nuthug another fighter like Bradley, or Dawson or Ward as the fighter that no one can possibly defeat in Fantasy match-ups!!!!

I think it's pretty obvious Arum doesn't want to release the numbers. He did the same thing with Pac-Hatton.

Its looking like Arum is not going to release the official numbers, which means that Pac-Mosley most likely did'nt live up to expectations.

Arum is claiming some bull**** about someone at HBO PPV being a genius in adding numbers.:rofl:rofl

.....according to Arum, it may be months before the PPV buys are counted......which translates, "I just want the public to forget about the PPV numbers, leave me alone.":lol::lol:

Here's a link to the speculation that Arum lied to us all again.
    What a shock.:shock::lol:

if it did bomb and arum is bullshitting, that's actually better for the prospects of a Pac-Mayweather bout than if he did come out and say it did badly. Last thing we need is Mayweather being given ammunition to demand more than 50-50 and put another obstacle up in making the fight
