The guy has the full package (no homo!) to go far.

Intelligent, likeable, hard worker, good amateur background, decent dig, good ringcraft and shot selection, looked good so far, knowledgeable highly respected trainer (Storey), enthusiastic, high profile, committed manager (McGuigan), linked with an interested and active promoter with dates (Matchroom).

The ingredients are all there for progression. The tests have gotten gradually stiffer and he passed each with flying colours.

He hasnt had (all) pushovers, but we've not seen him in there with an "equal", so I'm not getting carried away just yet, lets see how he gets on with a Quigg, Roberts, Walsh, Hughes or even Booth in the other corner.

But as a 4 fight novice he made Booth look wild. I know thats Booths style but still, Frampton looked, composed, strong and wise in there.

were you at the sparring slap. cant read much into 30secs.

Looks like Framton will get the Quigg vs Booth winner before the end of this year. Thats a big fight for November.

I took the video yeah. I was mostly taking photos back then before I started on all the videos.

I drove Frampton down from Manchester and it was snowing and we were delayed so he had to change in the car (no homo!) and ran straight into the gym in Notts as I parked the car and he jumped straight into the ring.

I was impressed by that alone.

It was a good even 6 round spar and I was impressed with Frampton as it was the first time I had seen him up close and in person.

With the fights we have seen so far you can only be impressed with Carl and how he is going about his work in the ring. I would love to see him in there with some of the other British level fighters be it Quigg or Booth who seems to be on his last legs or even Walsh. I feel that the promotors out there know all about Carl and theres a reason why those fights havnt been made too much of a risk for them to take.

That fight has gone down in Irish amateur boxing folklore.

can also fight on the back foot if and when required, plus is foot movement is exceptional.

basically all the amateur experience is going to be invaluable.

yep looks good, but I think its too early to say how good.

It alsmost like we dont learn by our mistakes....bigging someone up at such an early stage is setting one up for a huge downfall.

Once he starts fighting some better opposotion we will know....you only need to look at some recent fights to see this....

My favorite prospect and a future world champ in my opinion, if his chin is decent enough and his power translates on the world stage.

He has fantastic potential and seems to have everything he needs to become a big star. Seems like a level headed chap also so I'm sure the hype behind him won't go to his head. I'm excited to see his development.
