Know what you mean, just not enough fans here. Remember getting a ticket for the proposed Guzman fight, went into ticket shop and bought the ticket a couple of days after going on sale, asked the boy if they were selling well and was told i had bought the first 2 tickets!

Another boxer going into promotion...not good.

We have too many promoters in the UK, but we have a shortage of good quality boxing trainers and other roles like conditioners. BBFC needs to look at this and try to promote boxers retiring from taking up other roles within boxing.

I thought the Martinez fight would have sold well, and the ticket sales dwindling due to the shite competition. No?

Martinez fight sold out in the Kelvin Hall, but after that FW decided to have the next cards at braehead as it's cheaper to hire than the SECC. But breahead is miles from the city center and a pain to get to so this and the poor standard of opponent resulted in lower than expected ticket sales. Burns could easily get 5000+ at the SECC against a decent fighter as its really easy to get to from the city center or west end.

Yeah seen him a few times, looks like he's doing good. He was sitting up at the stands at the Burns Martinez fight. Ashame that ****** couldn't fix him up with a ringside seat.

Good luck to Alex Arthur as he will need it . I not sure AA is the right person to take a promoters licenses out bearing in mind he was not a great ticket seller himself but fair play for trying . IF you look at the cost of the venue security boxers fee,s medics doctors boxing board fee,s and also ring hire and judges referee,s and M,C you be looking at somewhere in the region of £40,000 so it takes a lot of tickets break even so he need sponsors with big pockets
