Being an American, I thought his voice/accent was funny. I cracked up everytime I heard..... AYE! LIM GO!!! OK, BOX OFF!!! He also reminds me of a black version of Stephen Graham This content is protected This content is protected
He did poorly in the fight. He missed two KD's, allowed the whole night Pascal's rabbit punching and Hopkins using the head, he warned Hopkins but never warned Pascal, and neither of the fighters was paying attention to him. Someone told me days before the fight how poor he does (on a thread that I made) and the guy was right.
have only seen highlights of the fight in question. but usually find him pretty poor especially his scorecards. was a bit of contreversy in a recent prizefighter if i remember.
pascal kept holding. but overall i thought he did a decent job. well besides ignoring the two knockdowns
 Missing ONE Knock down...."OK"....TWO or MORE?? :-( he did alright but missing 2 KD's in one fight is pretty bad. He was definitley a Nard fan and enjoyed Hopkins attitude during the fight, but he clearly make a couple of HUGE mistakes. I'd still like to see him ref more.
Cocksucker scores **** like he is borderline Mongoloid or just plain out corrupted (I think a bit of both) The Pascal-Hopkins bout is nothing compared to some blatant cluster ****s in the past... Personally, I don't think the Vlitali-Briggs bout is something that he should be chastised about I believe that a boxer's corner should be the one to stop a pummeling before a ref does...Why? The people in your corner train with you night and day and are side by side with you...Taking that into account, they know their boxer more than any one does,(Ie: Capabilities, Strengths, Weaknesses, habits,Style) etc) and the corner "should" know when their boxer has had enough, or can keep fighting....Many time though this is not the case.....
Gmans injuries were there before the fight & had nothing to do with Benns rabbit shots He used to spar with HWs with no headgear & fought several big punchers before Benn He was complaining about severe headaches long before he fought & lost to Nigel
Can someone define a KD to me because those 2 "KD's" looked like clear slips. Yes he caught a punch around the same time but he didn't go down because of the punch he went down because his foot slipped on the dark advert on the canvas, it happened both times. He slipped again later on in the same place after no contact at all. Seems like most of you missed that despite the TV replays. Watch it again - Seems harsh to criticize the ref in light of that - he actually got it right.
watch the HBO highlights back on youtube In the first one the foot in slipping before the punch even lands notice the foot is on the black advert and it slips completely from under him, it slides for about 6 foot, as soon as the foot hits the red he gets grip See the second one - see how much his foot slips from under him again and how he immediately points at the advert - admittedly he takes a clean shot but it isn't a KD punch - he took much harder shots, he would have stayed up had his foot not slipped on the advert and i remember it happened again later on after no punch at all
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfB1Hp_wubI&feature=related[/ame] Round 9 KD: Emmanuel Steward: "Here you see Hopkins landing a right hand that hit him on the side of the head of Pascal, Pascal went down as a result of that even though it wasn't a power punch, the referee didn't call it a knockdown, officially it really is, if your glove touch (the canvas)." Max Kellerman: "You're both right, I was wrong it was a knockdown". Emmanuel Steward: "I'm glad they didn't call it a knockdown, but officially it was". RD 10 KD: Emmanuel Steward: "Here we are once again Bernard landing a right hand lead to the center, got out of the way and as a result of landing the punch, Pascal went down AGAIN and touched the glove, the glove touch the floor, it would have been another knockdown, Pascal wouldn't have touched the floor if he wasn't hit". Max Kellerman: "It's really the momentum of his own miss that carried him down after the hit, that is a knockdown".
