For the past several months, I've been asking people mid-conversation about their familiarity with Pacquiao and Mayweather. In Washington state (where the Asian population is... well, heavy to say the least), much less than half the people I've asked know who Pacquiao is, none could tell me about him other than "he's a real good boxer," and even those who claimed to be fans couldn't tell me anything past vs. Hatton or Cotto. I've come across two or three total that didn't know who Mayweather was.

Pacquiao's popularity in the United States is HIGHLY, HIGHLY exaggerated.
