6 Fights in the last 6 years. Wasted over 3 years of his prime 'retiring' and being inactive. So much talent and could have accomplished so much more if he only had the balls to take on certain fighters.

He could easily cracked the top 25 ATG list if he fought more consistently and take on tougher opponents. I can't remember the last time a fighter wasted so much talent.

He could have done a lot more, yes.

His record from 140 and up leaves plenty to be desired.

He's made lots of money and gained a lot of publicity, I suppose to him that comes before being a genuinely great fighter.

He could of improved his legacy alot more. But legacy is not his priority for his own reasons hence why he will never be remembered as great as he potentially could have been.

He has no talent. He is ambitious and has been training since young age supervised by competent trainers.

From a fan's perspective, no. He is tremendously talented and has accomplished little in years. He will be remembered more for the fights he avoided than the ones he took.

From his perspective, I'm sure he would disagree. He considers his "0" his legacy and he has money, so he's good.

Floyd does not care about his legacy

If he never fights again he leaves the sport healthy, famous & rich

Many other guys had a lot of talent but lacked the dedication in the gym (which has never been an issue with Floyd) to achieve as much as they could have

Its a shame that he never fought a lot of guys but life goes on (as do the Pac/FMJr threads)

Not quite a waste of talent, but never looked to achieve greatness , at least not since he moved up to welter.

    Judah
Dawson (he's still got time though and same goes to Dirrell)
    Mike Tyson
    Edwin Valero
    Joe Calzaghe
    Vernon Forrest

That's just a few who are bigger wastes of talents than Floyd

If by "waste" you mean that had he fought ten to fifteen more times, he'd be without question top 10 all time, even by those who dislike him, then sure. I just wouldn't feel comfortable saying a guy who is 41-0, the most accurate/efficient puncher ever recorded, one of the best all time at 130 lbs, one of the best defensive fighters of all time, and one of the highest grossing fighters of all time which in virtue helps the sport is the "[biggest] waste of talent" ever.
