again he could have done more....that is not a damn waste of talent to be top ten all time...the fukk is wrong with some of you....a waste is someone who doesn't use their talent!

Could he have done more probaly....but look at what he has done...its an awful lot still and you consider that a waste of talent?

Did you intentionally miss out the names of freitas, casamayor, tzyu, williams and pac?

What I believe is had he cleaned out the p4p rated guys between lightweight and welterweight he'd be seen as a great alongside whittaker and maybe even armstrong.

Maybe me and the other posters of this opinion rate floyd much higher than the supposed fans of his.

Basically we feel he did not fulfil his potential at all and hence wasted his talent. You fanboys might think he reached his potential but as I said, maybe we rate him higher.

The only names on your list that were worth fighting or could be made are Williams and Pac. No point in fighting Frietas and Casa when you beat two better fighters in Corrales and Castillo. Tszyu was with showtime, and the only version of Tszyu Floyd would have fought was the one that lost to Ricky Hatton. You believe that version of Tszyu troubles Floyd?

 If he beat Pac he could surpass Whitaker but no sorry, there is nobody good enough in boxing today for Mayweather to surpass Armstrong.

If you guys don't think he wasted his talent. Explain the 3 prime years he WASTED by fukking around, going to the WWE and doing absolutely NOTHING.

That is a waste of talent. He could have accomplished so much in those 3 years and he didn't do so ****. Justify that.

Because any fighter who is consider to be one of the best defensive fighters and one of the best talents in the history of boxing wasting over 3 years of his prime doing nothing is a true waste of talent.

i dont understand their train of thought....as much as he has done and the many achievements and he still is a waste of talent....that just doesnt make any sense.

wanting someone to do more and wasting talent is not the same thing.

By your definition then Roy Jones is a waste if talent. Probably the most talented boxer of all time. He should def be in the top 5 all time right? Fighters who don't use their talents are a waste. Could Sugar Ray Leonard have ranked higher? Most definitely. But he isn't considered a waste if talent.

The two fighters he fought after castillo where who?

Are you denying that tzyu would have been a better victory than either corley or gatti?

Cleaning out the welterweight division would have been his crowning achievement and meant he beat pretty much every great of his era.

You're right, there isn't the names for him anymore. He's blown his chance to crack the elite. The names aren't around any more apart from pac and that fight aint ever gonna happen.
