I'm curious as to whether or not he's had the retirement question put to him since and what he has to say about it.

I read one where he said he felt good because he proved he could still hang in there with younger guys, something like that.
It made me facepalm and agry, but Im not 100% sure if he really said it or someone made it up.

Roy was always class, even when he was at the pinnacle of his game. How do you know him?

i don't. at 8 count they had deal where you could talk to roy if you donated $250 to help out victims of the tornadoes. it was good to talk to my hero. couldn't have been nicer.

That's pretty badass. I really hope what you say is true. Here's wishing he's financially secure and doesn't feel the need to put himself in harm's way any longer.

haha! i was going to comment about your avatar one time but didn't. i was actually in nyc the weekend of the dallas game this year. was going to go but we were so terrible i didn't want to waste money on watching us lose. of course we won but it really didn't matter. it just hurt our draft position. :)

I sat right behind Roy at the Pavlik vs. Rubio fight, and I must have watched him sign a 1000 autographs and didn't turn down a single picture.

I THOUGHT at the time I was bein' cool leavin' him alone....., but I have often wished I would have bull shitted with him a little bit.

Yeah, I would at least have to say hello. Pretty cool he took the time to acknowledge everyone.
