I agree that it's a bad stylistic matchup, and I agree that if Khan wins his resume would be better than Bradleys. I'd have him at no.1 for sure. But Bradley is the more complete opponent and would be a much stiffer test, Judah essentially has a punchers chance as he isn't going to outwork Khan, who will look flashy enough with his flurries to win rounds.
I really fancied Khan but now I aint so certain. No way is Khan stopping Judah!! I think Judah's style could cause Khan some major problems. Khan looked horrible in his last fight and I think Judah will make Khan miss an awful lot. Lets hope its on Sky Sports as nobody is buying this in PPV
the bit about Judah being a bigger test that Bradley is what I disagreed with. I prefer Khan's chances against Judah than if it was Bradley he was facing. No issue with the winner being no.1 in the division though. As u rightly said, Bradley's took himself out of that equation by choosing not to take on Khan
Correct me if I'm wrong, I aint trawling through endless posts, but didn't you say leaving Ariza was a good move? Still stand by that?
I use the term 'box' loosely. Khan is not a technical boxer. He still does not rely on smarts and skills. He is more of an ambush fighter like you say. Judah has changed but I will consider him a front runner until he is in with an elite operator who will push him after 4 rounds. Maybe Khan will be that fighter.
Fair do's, still reckon that Zab is the bigger threat. What are Khan's achilles heels? Pressure & POWER and of the two, with Khan's shaky chin, power really is Amir's kryptonite. With Khan's conditioning and Bradley's lack of power, I'd put money on a points decision before a stoppage by accumulation and Tim is not going to outbox Khan....
Judah has changed and Sweet Pea is a legend but don't forget Judah has been in the game so long no matter how much Sweet Pea tries to change his style Judah will have one or two habits which he cant let go of and that is what Roach is going to exploit in his gameplan
Ok I can understand that point of view entirely. At this point I feel that Khan will just have too much for Judah and should take a pts win, but a few years ago I would probably have made Judah a big favourite
Freddie will have wanted Morales. I imagine he is quite concerned about Khan being in with Judah, although for obvious reasons he won't be making comments on it. From his interviews and a few other things Freddie often gives me impression that he has reservations about Khans ring talents. Not in what he says, but what he doesn't, and more often than not when questioned about such things he goes straight to mentioning his atheletism or his speed or his work ethics and so on.
I still stand by a punchers chance for Judah, as his last fight I had Mabuza up on the cards until Zab got with a great shot in the 7th. It's comes down to making an adjustment on Khan half not to get sucked in or walk onto Zab's traps and if Khan can't make that adjustment then he deserves to lose, because at this level you have to make adjustments and stick to gameplans because I am sure Roach will work on this.
