He stunk. The man constantly yelled at Hopkins, let Pascal get away with insane amounts of holding AFTER warnings, and could not see a KD to save his life.

He should only ref where he does... Canada. The fact that he and that clown who long counted Bute are still reffing tells you all you need to know about Canada.

Boxing commissions really need to look at those decals.

Dirrell slipped on one in the Abraham fight.

Didn't know that, thanks....It doesn't change the fact rabbit punches are illegal because they can cause brain damage, they hit the brain stem, the worst spot to take a shot to the head...Gman suffered brain damage, consistent with why rabbit punches are banned...

Whether Gman had issues leading up to the fight or not, it was the fight that did his brain in...It didn't happen sparring hw's with out headgear, it happened after 10 rounds of taking shots to the back of his head from a mw...

**** that early stoppage **** man, his life was in the balance. His corner could have stopped it, but the ref could have stopped it too. It was too much. :deal

ian john lewis did ok, its not easy to referee hopkins fights, especially this one, as both hopkins and pascal were both fouling through the fight.
he did the best he could do with it.

If you go down after you've been punched its a knockdown buddy. Doesnt matter if its really a slip or not, rules are rules.

Stop whining. You guys ***** about Quebec official and when Hopkins gets what he wants, you are still bitching. Don't forget that this fights was promoted by GBP, not GYM. They hired the staff.

You guys should just shut up about the refs.

I think he showed discretion in not calling those slips knock downs. Fair enough, his gloves probably wouldn't have touched the canvass if there were no punches thrown, but nor would they have if the ring didn't have those slippy ads plastered all over it. Can you imagine Pascal being given a standing 8 count for those 'knockdowns'? It would have been ridiculous

Not sure why you are quoting the commentary? - did you watch the video yourself? - did you notice his foot slipping on the advert both times? He doesn't go down as a result of the punch does he? his foot slips from under him and so he touches down - its pretty clear

well okay but sometimes when fighters touch down as a result of a slip it is quite rightly ruled a slip and not a knockdown - right?

Pascal just hit the head of Hopkins, who every time he went into infight, turn his head to the right.....

Hopkins is a dirty fighter himself but seeing your avatar - i just saw the light...........................Hopkins is GOD.......:shock::shock::think

Yes, I did. I've watched the entire fight four times. The first one is questionable, the second one no doubt is a KD, the punch send him flying, off balance or not is a KD, the commentary simply proves my point.
