Zab Judah has no shot versus Amir Khan

How can you say that, Judah has a great punchers chance vs khan, I think khan will pull it off but I wouldnt be surprised at all if judah won.
This is the second best fight at 140 when bradley is ducking, good fight for khan and boxing.

By the way, there are plenty of great fights this summer

 

Of course he has a shot. Khan has a weak chin, and Judah hits hard. Not to mention Judah is much sharper, faster, more accurate and less clubbing that Maidana, who nearly had Khan out. Judah has every chance of stopping Khan if he connects on him with a well-timed shot or 2, and based on Khan's sloppiness and open-ness in recent performances, their is every chance that it could happen. Very dangerous fight for Khan IMO.

 

Judah has always been severely overrated, mainly because his moronic fans bought into all the hype he created by having a big mouth. He's got fast hands, decent power and decent technique but in the eyes of his fans, he's a technician with knockout power and lightening speed. That's not the case. He's a guy who has been beaten by the elite every time he's stepped up, has a glass chin and no heart.

Judah was an average fighter at his very best, no matter how much his fans want to deny that.

That said, Khan has an awful chin, so you can't discount anyone against him.

I agree with the OP , doesnt do much for Khan. Judah is quick enough that'll he make khan look clumsy for a couple of rounds before capitulating.

Not really excited about that at all.

 

I stopped reading right there. One punch? Really? Super can bang with both hands and different punches. Khan is going to get starched and bad. His defence is not that great and his chin isnt either. He will not be able to run away/hold judah like he did maidana.

And at 140, Judah is a nightmare for anyone. This is a guy who had good/competetive fights with all the best welters.

 

I disagree completely.

I think Khan's team made a mistake with picking Judah. Judah is one of the worst possible matchups for Khan.

Khan is very methodical and predictable with his approach and selection of punches. This will allow Judah, like McCloskey to slip a majority of Khan's shots and be in position to counter.

However, unlike McCloskey, Judah has the handspeed the power, and the ability to land punches before Khan has a chance to reset himself and get out of the way.

It is possible that Khan could take a very cautious approach and throw less punches, but that may play into Judah's favor by allowing Judah to get into a rhthymm and outbox Khan.

More than likely, Khan will take a speed + volume punching approach which will make it difficult for Judah to get many opportunities to punch because he will spend the majority of his time on defense, but when he does get an opportunity to punch he has the power and speed to hurt Khan and possibly knock him out.

It is likely that the majority of Khan's shot will miss or be ineffective while Judah will land the HARD effective shots and I would be surprised if Khan doesn't get knocked down in the process.

Given that Khan is the rising star, even if Judah boxes perfectly, rarely gets hit and land the harder shots, the decision is more likely to go to Khan who will win by volume punching even though the shots were ineffective.

So Judah will more than likely have to knock Khan down and maybe even out to win this fight, but I can see that happening, and it's a very dangerous fight for Khan.

I've been impressed with Judah recently and I think his defense under Pernell Whittaker has improved, and it will be key to setting up countershots, especially that left uppercut that will potentially knock Khan out.

So basically, I disagree with you and I'm going to go with Judah in this fight.

 

This is EXACTLY what Khan did against slick southpaw McCloskey. It's true that he may be more tenative against Judah who is a known puncher, but if he lays back, this gives Judah a chance to box Khan who still has solid skills and incredible handspeed.

 

If mccloskey can make khan miss and have him lunging in then judah who is better defensively with sweat pea's help can do this as well.
If he was featherfisted then I could get your point but look at his fight vs mabuza and say if you dont think if he lands something big on khan he could take him out? I think khan will win as well but judah has a better chance then yout hink he has

 

So true , When was the last time the "punchers chance" happened in a world level fight ? Sanders v Klitschko I guess but its ****ing rare and even then the guy getting clocked usually has to do something stupid.

Judah is like all the shite that goes along with Mayweather but without any of the ludicrous talent

 

Again, Khan's style has tendencies which sometimes put him in a position where he's leaning in which will allow Judah to capitalize.

And Judah is a better, more accurate puncher than Maidana.
