Are you serious? i don't think he trains in a 70 degree ghetto pool. When you train, pretty sure you have no worry keeping your body temperature up in some cold pool. Not to mention your activities will naturally raise your body temp anyway.

Those extra calories also rev up his metabolism, making the body burn calories at a higher rate. This only happens when you're taking in nutrient dense foods though.

Mike Phelps consumes more then 12,000 calories during training. Apparently Mike eats a lot for a couple of reasons....:smoke So his calorie intake should be "higher":rofl

Don't mind the PAC haters on here....they won't allow themselves to validate anything PAC has done. Only a moron would think it's impossible for SUPREMELY CONDITIONED Athletes to have the metabolism to burn 3, 4 and even 5 times the calories than the average joe who is NOT in a high intensity training camp. Some guys like Phelps and PAC are athletes operating on anther level.

Just saw this commercial on TV.

First, I didn't notice it was Pacquiao until I heard the 7k calories. Then I remembered this thread title on ESB (thought it was a joke thread).

I was floored. Wow. I expected Pac's commercials to be local and have something to do with beer, not this.
