So Sky won't be pulling any of that "end of the season" like they do every other year. About time.

It was Mackin who 'broke the camels back' on the Khan PPV by pulling out shortly before. This was after sky went to the trouble of featuring him extensively on Ringside.

I can see why Sky can't be arsed with him. He has let too many people down too often. It is also the week before the big one from Germany.

Because Sky is available in the UK and Ireland.

Anyhow, nice thread - there are some great fights happening. Mitchell-Murray and Haye-Klit are the pick of the of the lot.

I think he looks pretty good mush. Mixes up shots to head and body pretty well, but I want to see his obvious ability tested against the best in the division.

    1. Ward
    2. Froch
    3. Kessler
    4. Bute

Is how it looks for me. I imagine he'll be fighting Kessler later this year, if so that's definitely a step in the right direction. Kessler could be the perfect canvas for him to paint his masterpiece (as could Frochy) but until I see him have to react and adapt against one of the true 'Elites' of the division I'm not convinced. Kessler might not miss with his right hand, he might establish his own jab and stop Bute from getting anything flowing, only then will we see what Bute is made of. But I'm still not sure how Kessler will come back, long layoff, a few gruelling fights in a row, either he will continue to prove his ability at the top or will merely carry on as a capable fighter. In a way I'd love to see how Kessler deals with Bute as well as vice versa, great fight if it comes off.

(Umm.....who the **** is he fighting on Saturday? Sounds like an ArabBum to me? :think)

He didn't join the Super 6 and has suffered big time. His ledger over the last few years is Joppy, Andrade a couple of times, Miranda (already squashed by Abraham and outpointed by Ward in his last few fights) and fringe contenders in Brinkley and Magee.

I'd expect him to look astounding against those if he's a top level fighter, whether he's 'the best of the best', which when judging a fighters potential at the top of the division you have to do, well...

He could be absolutely phenomenal, he could be 6-10. Until I see, I'm undecided :good But I like what I see so far, but Mendy got blasted out by Bika, anyone can see that!

You could argue he's played it smart and let the other guys put miles on the clock in the Super 6 while he cashes in on so-so defences and now he's signed to Showtime looking a cert to get Kessler and then the winner of the Super 6.

Not exactly the Corinthian Spirit I know but I think he knew exactly what he was doing all along.
