If he does then it will be a massive achievement but lets not get carried away here..
Ward has the tools to soundly defeat our carl, hopefully proved wrong..

Not that crazy a concept in my opinion. Certainly the best fighter since Lewis and given I dont like Lewis i'd say a better career than his

Tbh i remember when Hatton/Calzaghe were in Sun at height of there career's getting same talk and plaudits talk of them being the our best and that sorta stuff.

I really don't see this comment as any worse when you consider the way Froch has fought all these guys back to back. Obviously he won't be and Eddie's gone a bit overboard but he damn well be up there as one of our best IMO when his careers all said and done if Eddie and Carl get there way and win this tournament. Froch could still add to legacy after competition.

The guys cut from a different cloth. Enjoy this guy while he's around cos he will be missed he's last of the true grinders of this sport.

Are you forgetting the fact that Calzaghe dominated and outclassed Kessler -- who Froch went life and death with and lost -- albeit it was a narrow loss (though you can argue Kessler wasn't the same fighter)

I'm not trying to take anything away from Frovh, who I think is underrated, but come one...

He's got some work to do to get past Lewis.

But he's pretty much already there in terms of being the best since he packed in.

    Hopkins, Kessler, Eubank, Bika

Taylor, Dirrel, Pascal, Abraham and then maybe Johnson and Ward.

that probably already out does Hatton IMO, but that Hopkins win is a BIG win for Calzaghe

    Fair enough, it's your opinion.

BTW, Dirrel would have been a terrific win if Froch actually won the fight...

    We're talking about ever anyway.

The judges gave it to Froch and that's all that matters.

They gave the Hopkins fight to Calzaghe...... that's hardly any more controversial than Froch/Dirrell.

Calzaghe is greater, and could come out of retirement now and beat the **** out of Froch.

    :huhWhat fight were you watching?

Dirrel was robbed by all accounts plain as day.

Calzaghe/Hopkins was close by all accounts, and Calzaghe imo did just enough.

    They aren't comparable.

I was there for Froch vs Dirrell.

It was a close fight, I had Froch winning by a point.... and because it was **** I've not watched it since.

Calzaghe vs Hopkins was equally close, I had Hopkins ahead by one.

I would suggest that you watch Dirrel/Froch again (i.e. go to youtube). Dirrel's tactics were off-putting, but I can't see how you come away from watching it still saying Froch won.

BTW, this thread wasn't intended to portray Froch as ****. Froch is a tremendous fighter imo, and one of my favs.
