only issue i have with it is that heaps of people will pay good money for tickets and PPV, think they are going to get a FOTY again and end up with a sad one round KO...then the media will slag it off as another farce - forgetting that Kats has gone toe to toe with two great fighters in his last outings
If anyone's earnt an easy fight it's Kats. Just hope Earl can put up some resistance and not get harmed.
sadly i think he is going to end up with brain damage of some sort eventually... he hasnt fought for 2 years and was getting brutally KO'd in every second outing before that
I don't think Mick should be getting too much criticism for this, afterall he has had some seriously tough fights of late and Earl not too long ago was bordering on world class. Let's just consider this, imagine if it was announced that Dibb was taking on Earl, we'd all be saying that maybe Dibb does have some balls after all...
Tend to agree with this... Would be good to see him fight the winner of Murray v Mitchell after this fight
Give the guy a break, I think he should not be fighting for the rest of the year. he needs some time off. to many hard fights in a row. As long they don't make this earl fight on PPV, which I think they will and try to charge the public 50 dollars to watch it.
Did I miss something here? Earl is calling him out. Demanding the return he was promised. Since when is Katsidis his guardian? Earl has a team behind him, let them worry about it. They know more about him than we do.All we got is boxrec. He wants a return, Mick is honouring his promise. End of.:huh
im the biggest Katsidis nuthugger on here and i dont begrudge him a easy tune up but this is pathetic as well as dangerous.can see a Briggs like dive from Earl and Aussie boxing being a laughing stock again.
Well put, Rodin. Also a better match up than, say, a Peter Maniatis fight card. It's a fight, not his toughest opponent, but they can't all be world champs at odds on. Don't forget Earl troubled Kats when they fought, and as mentioned by a wag earlier in the thread, he gets a chance to belt a pom, and he'll get for it. The biggest downer of it all is now we won't get to see him Fight Sam Colamban in Melbourne.
A round 1 KO or a so called dive will most probably end in karma or a lo$$$$$ of dollars in the end :good IMO.
