We have the #3 and #4, heavies in the world getting title shots. In your opinion, who has impressed more in their careers to date? Who do you think has a better chance for victory?
Hard to tell really! Cool that you put it up as I was just watching Adamek-Arreola. I'd have to say that Haye has impressed me more watching them both on film ...Adamek doesn't look like a real heavyweight in my honest opinion although he is no doubt a good fighter. Vitali is the more vulnerable of the two brothers at this point...if Adamek can throw a lot of punches and make Vitali fight we may see Vitali showing his age down the stretch. That's a big if though. Haye has a real chance imo but he has to do things right. He has to finish if he hurts Wlad, no more being crazy and missing wildly ala Ruiz. In terms of chances I'd say they have about equal shots. Both underdogs.

I think Adamaek has impressed me more. The Arreola Adamaek beat is better than anyone Haye fought. I am sold on Adamek's skills, and toughness. Though he doesn't take the best punch in the world, Adamek to me is far more durable ( and gutsy ) than Haye is. I think Haye has the better chance, simply because he is a very good puncher, and draws Wlad who doesn't have the best punch resistance in the world. Some critics used to say the Klitschko's make it easy for each other by fighting the other brother's toughest matchups. If this were the case here, Vitali would be fighting Haye. The reason Haye is fighting Wlad is because Haye picked him, which to me is an admission he thinks Vitali is the harder man to beat.
Ah, screw it. I typed out so much, I lost the plot in there and stopped making sense. To delete and make it short: They are such very different fighters that impress in different ways. Suffice it to say I think the right matches are made to help the underdog, Adamek is stylistically and physically better matched with a 40-year-old Vitali than he would be with Wlad and Haye is better matched with Wlad in the same way. Adamek I feel is the smarter, more durable man with better stamina, I feel, but Haye the more natural heavy and has the sting to force better heavies to respect his power and the speed with which it is delivered. These are good fights, and they deserve the shots, imo. I don't like the down-talking of the matches. ...Dammit, now I'm starting to retype everything I deleted and it's no longer concise. From their heavyweight boxing performances, my Impress-o-meter reads a clear '0' on both these guys. Haye's impressed me with how he's talked himself into a mega-payday though.
I agree, it's a total mismatch. The only remote & very unlikely chance that Adamek "wins" is if Vitali quits with a shoulder or back injury.
i agree with those of you that say adamek doesn't have much of a chance. he doesn't have the power of boxing ability to deal with even an old version of vitali. plus remember he was beat down for most of the fight vs chad dawson. haye, i feel, has the better chance but i still like wlad big time in this fight. haye looked like crap vs valuev and didn't deserve the win imo. they should have just handed haye the belt before the fight.
Adamek beats vitali then KO's wlad and then may just give haye another pay day after he got KO by wlad and KO him just for fun.

Adamek sucks against even **** quality taller fighters, watch him struggle & get hurt against overly-bulked 38 year old Grant, & mordibly obese 38 year old shot McBride. How will he handle a Klit?
let's just assume that Vitali is the slowing, rusting, doddering old man that his critics say he now is...he'll still stop the brave, brave Adamek within 10 rounds...he'll beat the Pole from memory...and as for Haye...Wlad will save up for the best performance of his life...and he'll dominate the Mouth from the opening bell..the big write up about Wlad after this fight will be on how controlled he was and how well he controlled the distance and about his jab...he'll put on a real clinic with the jab and it will be only a matter of time before he ends it and puts haye to sleep..I don't know if he'll prolong the torture until the 12th round like he said he would, but the ko will be a foregone conclusion, whenever it is.
