This could be closer than folk expect.

Johnson is never going to stop Froch, but it could be a close one. However if it is reasonably close can we really see the scoring blowing much of the attraction of the Super Six final? I'm not sure HBO would be too pleased if Froch got beat.

 

As this fight gets closer, I think this is gonna be a war...While many are expecting Froch to just wasp through Johnson, I expect Johnson to be a live opponent in this match up...I expect Froch to eek out a narrow UD, I expect Johnson to push Froch to his limits and make Froch dig deep.

This is by no means an easy fight for Froch given Johnson relentless pressure.

I really cant wait to see how this fight plays out!

 

The UK have produced some outstanding SMWs but not so many LHWs. Woods couldnt compete in the tough European SMW scene so went up to the (overall) weaker LHW division and got known for fighting hyped American fighters like Johnson and Tarver with mixed results

Vanderpool 27-1 who lost his next fight, but in fairness that was at MW to Hopkins and Vanderpool had a good run after
Branco 38-4-2 who was a world class SMW and became WBA LHW champ
Sheika who was 19-1 and lost his next fight, though in fairness that was to Calzaghe.

The SMWs that Johnson has managed to beat
Campas 3-20-4 coming off of only 2 losses and won his next fight
Watson 24-16-1, Johnson was his last fight
Renteria 9-23-5 coming in, whos last 10 fight record before facing Johnson was 0-8-2
Zimmerman 15-2-0 coming in, who had lost his previous fight and the one after
A Green 29-2-0 coming in and Johnsons biggest SMW victory

If any rated SMW losses to Johnson it wont look good on their resume

Johnson couldnt beat alot of poor SMWs that I listed for you and is 8-3-1 in world title fights, and out on his feet against Woods in their first fight, and Woods was C level

 

should be a good fight. hoping johnson wins but im going for the better fighter that night. might go to the fight. still not sure if i should hit it up. but overall cant wait for the S6 final vs Ward!!
