On Sunday Sonny Bill Williams will fight a 43 year old who has lost his last 7 fights

Sonny was a machine on the pitch. He should stay there.

 

Might sit well in the Aussie forum. I've not seen a lot of this and last years NRL since I don't have Sky in my student squat but when I do catch a game where he is playing he's normally the best player on the pitch.

 

No one to this point have raved about his boxing skill... so dunno where you get that from

Its all over sports radio that the guys is a 43 yo unemployed bum.. isnt this like sonny's 4th pro fight?

Interesting if you saw the news yesterday (in Nz) with Tua giving sonny some advice in the ring

 

Its fine, its only his 4th fight.
I couldn't less about who he fights, until he actually decides to do boxing full time and not just on the side of his rugby career.

For those who have never heard of him he is one of New Zealand's top athletes, hes got mad skills and has been playing at the very top level of rugby and rugby league.

He is like the Kobe of league.

 

Wow. Top class rugby player fights 4th pro fight in basically a charity event, and fights a soft opponent in order to avoid injury.

What a shocker.

 

Giving his 100k paycheck to charity though, not bad.

He's no certainty to even get in the All Blacks side either. I heard Graham Henry speak about him the other night and basically say "look, he's only played 4 Tests. Nonu has played over 50 and they play the same position. He's got to get in the side first".

Not to mention he was totally ****ing anonymous against Queensland (top of the table clash) on the weekend.

 

He's some ****in animal of a center.

His boxing stints are only ever be a bit of a sideshow though, he'll never take on anybody slightly risky.

Can't wait to see him in the world cup though.
