Two of my favorite fighters every. I'd pick Hearns by a very close UD, because I don't see anybody winning a wide margin againsts Hopkins.

Wow, I love this matchup... razor close, but I think Hearns takes a UD or SD

I'd expect peak Hopkins to gradually wear Tommy down with mauling tactics, inside work, and body shots. He should be able to defend most of the big stuff and take whatever lands. I think Hearns was less mobile and frailer above 154. Hopkins TKO11.

Hopkins UD he would bash Hearns up on the inside using dirty tactics and his physical strength advantage getting inside of Hearns jab. Hopkins chin is also good enough to withold a Hearns right hand bomb imo

Hopkins would complain the ref because of the sticky Hearns jab.

Hopkins style is horrible against Hearns, if Taylor beat him, can you imagine Hearns? Hearns 8-4 no doubt.

Was so close to call, I went with Hops, but Im already second guessing myself thinking Tommy might just outwork him as others have. But Hops is so good defensively and has such great footwork, I think he would get inside that Hearns jab and make it ugly enough to win. Im stickin with OG Hops. Love both these cats though

hopkins would never lose to a fighter who had a simple style. and that is what hearns had. hearns would bring the punching power for sure, but bernard would bring the ring smarts.

hopkins by late stoppage. if not, then by UD. i can's see hearns winning that fight in the slightest.

Tommy could box beautifully behind his Jab. Also his power would discourage Hopkins.

Tommy never had problems with boxers.

I pick time Tommy by a wide UD.

Hearns could very well outpoint him in a close ugly fight . But then again we see what B Hop does to knockout artists ,For all we know he could pull a Trinidad on him .

Hearns had a much larger arsenal than Trinidad

Hopkins KO late. He would take away Hearn's right hand and maul him on the inside, completely nullifying his power. Hopkins is a much better overall fighter. The Hopkins that fought Tito takes him out no doubt.

I would bet my house Hopkins wins this one.

The only thing I am unsure of is if it by decision or by late TKO.

Tough call......if B-Hop goes at Hearns, he has a shot at winning or KO'g Hearns.

I didn't think as Hearns rose in weight he could beat Virgil Hill, but he did it quite convincingly.

    Hearns :good
