and once again I fell asleep... :tired

    but...

I woke up and played it again, this time while drinking (Red Bull)

that and a tad bit of booze made the fight watchable :-((

first off... Valuev obviously won the decision but was robbed :huh
dunno who paid who but when a Champion loses his belt it's usually
due to getting dominated or KTFO and neither happened in this fight!!

:huh Valuev hasn't fought since... hmmm... I smell a pay-off... :yep

leave rabid vile Haye Nuttin' comments below...

    :smoke

If you scored it for Valuev, you know nothing about boxing. Please stop watching the sport and disgracing it every time you call yourself a fan.

So you have seen Valuev dominating by landing punches and Haye missing and getting hit?

I really can't understand why anyone can score this for valuev.

Everyone says that haye only landed one or two shots a round but valuev landed nothing at all. Haye landed power shots too, fast and accurate ones!

The art of boxing is to hit and not be hit and haye may of not hit valuev much but he definately hit him more and with better shots than valuev hit him with!

Haye calls the Klits boring but that was a snoozer :tired

I fast-forwarded the fight and Haye runs a hundred circles around
Valuev every round making the big lug chase him around for 12 rounds...

    :silly

After this disgraceful crap fight, how on earth does Haye ever dare to call anyone elses fights "boring" and "medicine against insomnia"?

Valuev did nothing. He landed at an unprecedented low percentage and Haye landed at an unprecedented high percentage. Haye threw less and landed more.

If you scored this for Valuev, you know nothing about boxing.

but isn't that the reason ppl call the Klits boring? :huh

which Ali and Holmes had a similar style in most of their fights...

Hit and try not to get hit back!

"Rope a Dope Fight" not included :p

Haye is one of the smallest heavyweight champions in recent years and was fighting the biggest ever, with his favoured hand, the right, broken. It wasn't pretty but excusable.

what a bad fight this was, haye on his bike landing a few shots per round valuev chasing him landing almost nothing. I only saw it once live but it looked pretty close to me, i reakky thought if it was close valuev would get the decision in germany, i was happy haye won though because it set up wlad vs haye

Doesn't mean haye lost though. I really enjoyed the fight but I went to Germany so maybe the atmosphere swayed me, crowd were shouting Ole everytime valuev lunged and missed.

Styles make fights, haye put on a masterclass of hit and not be hit! Before the fight everyone was saying haye would lose as he is too easy to hit.

Masterclass is a bit overreacting, I mean holyfield did better then haye, haye won so thats all that matters though, valuev was boring as hell anyway.

Well I like the kilts so hard to comment but admit I sometimes tire of watching wlad because he doesn't go for the kill until they are out on there feet. Haye goes as soon as he thinks they are hurt. Vitali is a warrior and would happily go toe to toe with most fighters.

I think wlads problem is his jab is so good why take the risk when he knows if he just stays behind it more often than not he gets an easy win.

    Agreed

I've heard a million times boxing critics say...

"In a Championship Fight you have to Take the Title from the Champion
you can't just sit back and expect to get a gift decision against a
    Don King fighter
in the fighters backyard and the judges in his hip pocket!"

... the fight was in Germany... most of Valuev fights took place
in Germany... Valuev has not fought since that fight in 2009 :blood

like I said, I smell a rat!! :yep

I mean the way he fought the fight, I haven't watched the Holyfield fight since it first happened but I wouldn't say he fought the same way Haye did at all. I am saying Haye executed his gameplan perfectly.
