You make it sound like Haye was active.... Let's not forget that Haye threw I think it was 8.9 punches a round.... Or was it 12.9. In any case... You statement is very misleading And you know it....:D

But valuev didn't land anything so how can you score it for him.

Also the fight may of been in Germany but the British crowd were far louder, that sways judges. If you watch a fight and listen to commentators being pro a certain fighter you will score it very different from how you would if you hand the sound off.

It is the same for judges, e.g. If it was mainly valuev fans vs holyfield then they would stay quiet when Holyfield landed and give gentle applause (german fans) when valuev landed.

Now look at the Haye fight, Haye lands massive cheers, valuev plods forwards and barely even any gentle applause.

The crowds sway the judges in the same way commentators sway our views, that is why home fighters get the win more than bribery.

:huh the fact that Valuev has not fought since the Haye fight in 2009...

makes me wonder if the fight was legit...

it was a Don King production and his fighters never lose a decision
in their own back-yard even if they are dominated...

you know what, it wasnt a good performance, i believe haye did win the fight, but no one can at least give props to fighting a guy nearly a foot taller and 100 pounds heavier?

did you expect Haye to go toe to toe with Valuev?

Haye: “I’m going to embarrass him, knock him [Valuev] out. He’s never fought anyone as fast or who punches as hard as me, or as accurately. I know he feels I’m a little mouthy man from England, but he’s going to be in for a rude awakening when the bell goes.”

Haye: “The game plan is to hit him [Valuev] as much as I can”

Haye defeats Valuev, but stinks up the joint with his running
Haye’s performance was dull but necessary

    FINAL PUNCH STATS
    David Haye: 143 punches thrown 98 LANDED - 12 PUNCHES A ROUND

I did not. I thought his workrate would be bit higher but with Haye having the far greater speed it would make no sense for him to slug it out with the much bigger Valuev. Holyfield was even faster than Valuev but did not have the speed of Haye but had the higher ring IQ and better footwork getting in good combos every now and then but clearly beat Valuev. I also understand that Haye had a bad hand but he did stumble Valuev in the last round so I'll give him that.

One thing that strike me as a bit strange is that there was no rematch clause. Isn't that pretty standard in voluntary defences?

Haye pretty much did what he said then, was valuev embrassed? Yes he landed barely any punches.

Was Haye fast? Yes as previously said valuev landed nothing because Haye was so quick yet every time there was an opening he landed fast and "accurate" (8 out of 12 thrown a round infact).

He didn't knock him put but was real close!

There was a rematch clause they just didn't take it.

Valuev was injured and his promoters (who now had rights to Haye also) didn't want it as they saw it going the same way.
