I don't like Timmy, but I don't think it's fair to call him a coward.

He's an idiot for continously calling Khan out and to back out at the last minute (for financial reasons), but he's far from a coward.

 

I think it's sad that certain fighters think being undefeated somehow makes you a greater fighter than fighters with losses. It's never made any sense to me, all the best fighters lose because all the best fighters seek out the best competition.

 

He, apparently, is guaranteed 1.2 million for his next fight. Why use up the well-paid Khan fight on this, when he can save it for another time? Which I suppose, begs the question - why wait all that time to pull out at the last minute? I guess that’s something only Bradley knows.

Bradley's decision makes sense. He's right about the finances. He just looks like a douche, cause he calling out Kahn vehemently before.

 

Yes, but he'll get that 1.4 million against Khan regardless of when he fights him. But that 1.2 million that HBO have promised him, is only for his next fight. He'd rather cash in on that 1.2 million by facing a soft opponent - keeping his undefeated record in the process - and then take the 1.4 million by fighting Khan afterwards.

But with that said, Khan told Dan Rafael that Bradley will no longer be offered that 50-50 split of the UK money when they're at the negotiating table next. This additional 50-50 UK split - something which Khan was not compelled to give one penny of - would have meant that Bradley would have made a lot more than 1.4 million. But he's pretty pissed with Bradley backing out, and has now promised that he won't be making as much money as he would have done if he turned up on July 23rd like he promised he would.

 

It's messed up that Bradley called out Khan - only to turn the fight down - but I assume he thought there would be a lot more money on the table.

If he's getting 1.2 for his next fight regardless to whom he fights - I see why he wouldn't take 1.4 for the Khan fight. This was just a business move that made sense. Hopefully - HBO makes him fight someone worthy - to earn that 1.2. Maybe Maidana or Morales?

 

I don't think you can say Bradley is a coward. I believe the only reason he didn't take the $1.4 million to fight Khan was because he saw he had a chance to get a fight with Pac (who he's been calling out for years) and make at least $5 million.

 

I've just found out that in a recent interview, Bradley admitted to putting the Khan fight to the side for the time being, so that he can maintain an unbeaten record and get that shot at Pacweather.

Taking advantage of HBO's deal may not actually have been the main reason.
