How many rounds, because as far as I know not all of the fight is available.

And Louis avenged the loss in savage fashion, what d'ya make of that?

Marciano maintained his weight low, he wasn't podgy (I assume that's what you meant by pudgy?)

Galento was a puncher with good punch resistance. It's not always 100% skills. But when has anyone called him a world beater?

When was Ruiz on top? You seem to be comparing a title with being world champion.

Although its a can of worms the whole size, training, conditioning side of things doesn't even have to come into play when ranking fighters from different eras.

For me its about what they achieved and how they achieved it, not so much how'd they do head to head.

Gaz....set off from Moscow to USA in 1936?

In fact look at the world today....

Pretend you have a physical specimen who is 15 and wants to be heavyweight champion........ok get computer....watch Mike Tyson fight Holmes, Spinks, and Berbick DONE.

Watch Ali against Williams, Z. Folley DONE

Watch Frazier against Ali in 71 DONE

Watch Lewis against Golota, Rahman 2, Ruddock, Morrison DONE

Watch Bowe against Holyfield times 3 DONE

Watch Holmes against Shavers, Norton? DONE

Wanna watch HEART? Watch Rocky against Walcott one

Wanna watch Joe Louis drop his left hand after throwing the JAB? Watch the first fight against Max DONE

Wanna watch Jack Johnson laughed at Burns? Order online.

Wanna watch Tyson training Order it...within a week you will see awesome footage.

Wanna see top level atheltes train? DONE

Wanna watch anything on training for speed? power, strength? Technical skils for boxing? done

You could not do that in 1936.

Wanna be heavyweight champion of the world?

Then you gonna have to fights Americas 300 million populance, 20 million canadians, 800 million european,s 150 million nigerians, 120 million russians....

Wait untill India, Brazil (althought its more MMA) and China big men start to watch and learn and fight..........then you have a proper WORLD CHAMPION/

Lennox Lewis avenged both his losses in fine fashion?

This is more to do with the bull**** aimed at Lennox for being boring or not an all time great.

If i had to pick two men, to face id rather fight J. Louis...all 6'2 and 207 pounds of him.

I honestly can't be bothered to get into the era's debate because I have done so many times before. Read 'The Arc of Boxing' by Mike Silver. I don't agree with all of it but he makes some persuasive arguments.

Just to clear it up for anyone unsure, my rankings aren't based on who I'd rather fight.

It does, but when people **** on modern greats then it times to smack talk.

I understand that the french army of 1805 were great.....but then when people start to tell me they would **** all over australia army now? Im like no mother****er..........they have planes, big guns, warheads.....

p.s this is a metaphor for someone like Jack Johnson fighting the likes of R. Bowe.

Bowe gonna smash him.....but then in greatness terms...Johnson is well above.

I understand the general point but didn't agree with the "2 weeks travel to see Louis". Most of Louis' challengers were either American or American based fighters, the American fight game was centred around a few cities....2 weeks is way off.

(And I'm sure a decent manager must have been able to get hold of a projector and cine film for his fighter to watch if he put his mind to it!!)

    We aren't comparing H2H so that's irrelevant.

Plus some of his fights were on closed circuit.

Start thinking like that son, its a good way to measure head to head.

Lennox Lewis resume is the 2nd best ever in heavyweight terms....Holyfield faced a a greater list of names but came out 2nd best in a few of those contests.

I meant pudgy, he looks pudgy....seen well over 200 photos of him, i have him on my wall.....becuase the man along with Holyfield had the biggest balls...determination? Heart rocky and evander are the greatest for that.

But when people start to bull**** themselves and say rocky comp was better than Lennox Lewis or that Rocky could hang with the very best big men of the 1990s and earlys 00s then im not playing.
