I appreciate shane's past and what he has done, but I was watching fc360 and the part came on where he said "i love a good scrap" with that dumbass grin and at that point, I felt like I can't stand this dude. I don't think I can't stand him because of his loss but I guess feeling bamboozeled. Does anybody else feel like they have a disdain for him
he obviously wanted the pac fight for $ and $ only, and the only way he was getting the $ he wanted is to convince showtime he was there to fight...or at least convince them he could convince the general public he was there to fight, so they (ST) could make their money back on the purse if you feel bamboozled, then you are feeling the correct emotion (if you are one of the people that got suckered into forking out $ for that fraud of a fight)
I've not seen the latest FC-360. I need to check it out. But no, I can't say I still feel any disdain towards him. I know he promised a lot for the fight, but its his job to do so. He couldnt exactly admit that he was well in over his head, and that hell be looking to survive on the night. Hes almost 40 years old and has been visibly shot for 2+ years, so theres only so much bashing he should receiving for wanting to survive against an animal like Pac. I mean, I watched that short snippet of him wanting to quit in the corner, and I never knew he was that ****ed. I also remember reading his post-fight comments, where he said after he got knocked down in the 3rd (?) round, he went back to his corner, looked up, and it was the 6th round already!
I agree. Anyone is free to check back at my posts in the build-up to Pac vs Mosley, or even before this fight was announced, and see that I had a lot of respect for Shane Mosley. I've never rated him all that highly as a fighter, but I was aware of how good he was in the late 90s and early 00s (a physical phenomenon), and I have always always had great admiration for his fighting mentality. The way he 'fought' against Manny and the behaviour of him and his "lady" afterwards have absolutely decimated this respect, irreparably. Shamefully cheating the fans by doing anything and everything to avoid engaging in a fight, then pocketing a $5m pay check and casting aspersions on the man who fairly beat him up is the behaviour of a fraud and a coward. Forevermore in my eyes, he will be Shameful Shane. He doesn't deserve the title Sugar anymore (if indeed he ever did).
Oh, and as KittiKasem above has just reminded me, there was one thing I really hated, and that was his PED accusations towards Pac on Twitter. It was this, more so than the fight, which wiped away a lot of the respect I had from him. A stupid, stupid thing to do.
Shane hasn't been the same since the Forrest fight. I don't have a problem with him - I think he honestly believes what he says, but he hasn't been a destroyer in almost 10 years. He won the Margarito fight because he was the better fighter, but that didn't mean he was back.
I agree with this. Classless. If I managed any of these dudes I'd forbid them from using twitter. Send me an e-mail and I'll post it for them after I edit it heavily.
Yeah, true that. I guess Pac and Arum got what they deserved (a crap fight) for picking on a dead man. But this still doesn't accuse Shane's retarted tweet.
Luckily I didn't cause I went to a sports bar. Free admission. I think I just hate him on these shows because he seems to far out of his element. Lame and fake
people, he's had one great fight in like 7 years...don't forget the callazo fight, estrada, cruz etc etc....mosley's been done i thought this fight would be a bit exciting cause of his "never quit" attitude, but seeing that clip really made me feel like i had an upset stomache...... STEROIDS AND A QUITTER, yet people will still always give him a ****en pass just cause he smiles......BULL****, he robbed us all and knew it all along....
You guys are all ****s. Mayweather said that his fight against De La Hoya would be a massacre, yet it was a boring tactical fight. Muhammad Ali said he would beat Larry Holmes in 3 rounds... is he a full of **** con artist? **** you idiots, as far as being a warrior goes, Shane Mosley has given more than 99.9 percent of the fighters in our generation, so you guys can all go suck a dick.
Yea, I find myself annoyed with Mosley too, but we have to remember what he really gave to the sport as a whole. If you feel cheated, then it's pretty much your own fault for expecting a physically capable Shane to show up and pull the trigger excitingly.
Well you cant really blame shane for wanting a big payday before he retires, considering likely Jin got the best of it during the divorice. if your going to blame anybody blame Team Pacquiao for continuing to take these low risk high reward type of fights rather than taking on the younger guys etc..... I mean there is no reason for Manny to be fighting Mosley, there is no reason for a 3rd Marquez fight at all, start fighting the younger guys or boxing will continue to hear **** like this on 360 from the old bats you continue to cherry pick.
I think JMM would be more exciting than a Bradley or a Berto. Ortiz is a good match-up to but wait a little while. But on the whole, yes, team Pac keeps going along with these uncompetitive match-ups.
