He's obviously technically sound but he gets real lazy with it, if he used it all the time like he did in fights like Johnson 2, with his superb pivots and quarter turns combined with workrate, I'd have rated him higher.

Problem with Dawson is you never really know what you're gonna get, makes it hard to be a fan.

I like Floyd's footwork in the Marquez fight also. he wastes very little energy, but he uses it very well. It lets him get into range safely and quickly with his jab or left hook and then he can use it to get out of range.

I'm inclined to agree with that statement...Dawson kinda reminds me of a puzzle you just cant figure out...How he's able to evade some punches are quite amazing, but the thing is, will he keep it up or just lose focus!

Another case was the Pascal fight...I dont see how the hell the let Pascal get away some of the things he did in that fight after he showed his ass off in the Johnson fight.

I really dont understand Dawson at times, but that still doesnt take away from how he moves in the ring! Very solid footwork!:good

RJJ didn't have **** footwork, but it wasn't amazing and it wasn't his best asset. His best asset was his athleticism, which was out of this world until father time caught up with him.

His best asset was hand speed and reflexes he had **** technique for footwork, didn't mean to say he had **** footwork overall, he had very fast footwork-but not good technically. Believe me, i know boxing am not just a arm chair fan. Am qualified and good enough to train a pro boxer, i know technique
