Do you agree with Chael Sonnen that Matt Hughes is not an MMA ATG?

    I read in a magazine this month Sonnen saying that Hughes should not be in the UFC Hall Of Fame. His p-o-v is that Hughes "only beat two top 10 fighters in BJ Penn and GSP", and says Hughes's wins over Newton and Sakurai are not of any real value.

    Do you agree or disagree with Sonnen?

    Even though I think he's a bit of an *******, I think Hughes is a definite ATG, maybe not on the same level as Fedor/Anderson/GSP, but maybe only one level down alongside Chuck/Wanderlei/Hendo. A long dominant run in one of the better divisions, and wins over GSP, Penn, Gono, Newton, Sakurai, Sherk, Trigg, Riggs, Lytle, Serra, Almeida, etc.

    Sonnen's an idiot. Hughes is definitely an all time great.

    Hughes is an ATG for his era, but every few year MMA evolves further so it's not like boxing where you could be like "Who would win, Duran or Pacquiao?" so guys like GSP would be higher. But yes, unquestionably he's a HOFer.

    And the way his striking off the back stuns Sonnen is a thing of beauty. Just as brilliant as his knockout of Belfort.

    And Sonnen says something stupid shock. Its like the man's a professional troll.

    FYI guys, in the same article Sonnen also manages to make some of the dumbest comments about boxing I've ever heard. He more or less says that Mike Tyson was a fraud and that even in the 80s, Holyfield was always the better fighter (even though Holyfield was a cruiserweight when Mike was at his peak, 1986-eighty eight).

    idk man I feel like an idiot jumping on this guys bandwagon when he was set up to fight Anderson. I guess I was just fed up with Anderson's antics I wanted someone to shut him up. So there was Chael with his trash talking and promises of putting a beatdown on Anderson. He lost and now he looks like a chump talking trash about other fighters while he most likely will never fight again.

    Oh and btw triangle defense Chael that's a white/blue belt level technique. Oh I forgot republicans don't wrap their legs around another man. Idiot.

    sonnen doesn't even believe the things he says (hopefully). he just trying to stay/increase his relevancy by attempting to stir controversy the easiest way he knows how. he's employing wwe tactics in mma. he's the biggest fraud w a track record to prove it

    Chael Sonnen is the worst troll of all time.
    He watched a muhammad ali press conference once and thought he could pull it off and he does it so bad that he doesnt even look like a cheat nockofff while doing it.

    Hell yeah. No one ever talks about the way Anderson set up the triangle with strikes from bottom. Chael was too concerned with Silva's punches and elbows that he never saw the triangle coming.
