Was better than Froch's are. I just read Froch in the Sun saying today that 'like Hatton against Kostya Tyszu. Then there were Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao but he lost both of them. After that you are struggling to find a name on his record'. Collazo > Pascal, Mayweather > Kessler (let's remember Hatton-PBF was closer than the judges had it and it would have went 12 without Cortez), Urango > Abrahan (Urango went on to win a world title at the weight), Tyszu > Taylor, Malinagi > Dirrell (yeah that's right he was better than the Green/Over rated Dirrell at the time. Malinaggi vacated the IBF title to go into that fight and got dominated.) Then after that you have guys like Maussa, Castillo, Lazcano and Pacquiao who Hatton fought and are all world class. Hatton took on the BEST!!!
That BBQ I've been invited to down the road is looking attractive right now!!! TBH though, theres not much in it, esp. if you are talking quality of oppoistion rather than just wins. Mayweather and Pac take a lot of beating when you "only" have Pascal, Kessler, Dirrell etc to play with!!
The only reason Hatton got to the level of recognition he did was because he looked good against a long past his best Castillo, got the broadcasters et al interested and took hordes of fans and their wallets with him, lighting up the eyes of everyone involved, which led onto the Mayweather fight.
