Tucker via 7-5 decision. TNT also might finish it with a big bomb, like the monstrous uppercut he landed on Tyson, which lifted him off his feet; Spinks (& most others) would've been sparked cold by that nuke.
spinks never fought an in form a-list heavyweight. Tucker was unproven, what was his best win, douglas quitting on him? I still favour Tucker, youth, miles on the clock, size, above all at that time tucker had a beter work rate than holmes with the same reach.
Tucker was a good fighter but not as much of a winner as Spinks. Could go either way but I'd say the Spinks that befuddled Holmes would squeak out a decision here.
But what if he fought as bad as he did against Douglas? Spinks was more consistent, I think that may of given him the edge. Spinks WM15 (8/7).
Don't know much about drugs but I think Tucker could soundly stop Spinks at his relative best and lose a marginal decision while at his worst form . Tucker was no Cooney , he was durable and had more idea about how to fight.
