Round 1 Nielsen controls the action with his southpaw 1-2 and some hard right hooks as Rea circles and blocks as best he can, pawing with a left jab and throwing some overhand rights from outside. 10-9 Nielsen
Round 2 Nielsen keeps walking in confidently, throwing hard right hooks to the body and left hands up top. Rea is walked repeatedly into the ropes and finally dropped by them. Rea gathers himself and comes back into the fray, walking flush into a left hand. Nielsen sticks his jab and covers up, wary of desperation attacks form Rea. Nielsen slips a jab and tosses out his own from far away. Clinch. Rea is now keeping his distance as well. Neither man is really leading. Jabs from Nielsen. Rea rushes into another clinch and Nielsen works his hands over the top. Rea flurries into the gloves, just an excuse to get up and clinch. HARD overhand left by Nielsen bounces off Rea's skull and puts him on the defensive as Nielsen opens up. Clinch. Nielsen chases with his jab and whips a hard right hook to the body. 10-8 Nielsen 20-17
Round 3 Nielsen is doing a paint job, landing his left hands up high and those extremely fast right hooks to the body. Rea is walked into a corner and staggers forward to clinch, breathing heavily through his mouth from the exertion of constantly defending. Rea is down again to his knees from accumulation. He rises, chest heaving. Nielsen drops him to a knee again with one of those murderous right hooks to the body. A minute left. Rea beats the count at 8/9. Nielsen pops his jab hard into the face. REA!!! The Irishman stands his ground and throws half a dozen of his hardest punches of the fight in succession. Last stand? Nielsen opens up, flurrying hard to the body. NIELSEN IS DOWN ONCE MORE! It is waved off as he rests there on his knees, looking exhausted. That was just twenty or so seconds away from being a 10-6 round. :yep
My girlfriend walked by, glanced at the screen from across the room, squinted, and said "Wait - that's not Kessler. He's got back and arm tattoos, but Kessler is nowhere NEAR that fast." :yep
The sexy lady interviews Nielsen, again in English. He gives the opponent respect and says he was tough and kept his boxing clean. She asks if he felt it was easy for him, and he says "NO! Not at all..." (although it did look it). He credits his training camp. Nice dude. Nice prospect.
I think Joe Rea should change his ring name from "Sugar" (wtf?) to "Pizza Dough" - because every time I see that boy he is getting tossed around the ring and thoroughly beaten. :yep He's now been down 9 times in three straight outings (against Britsch, Proksa and Nielsen).
A girl that can distinguish boxers by their tattoos is a definite winner. :good Wifey material, perhaps.
Well yeah. He isn't exactly slow, but blazing hand speed has never been one of his hallmark traits. For Nielsen, it's very much his best quality. That right hook is delivered faster than light itself.
it's already been more than an hour and a half since you made that post. The fight starts around 17:30 EST
