Round 1 Froch has his left hand at his side, up-jabbing at Johnson from long range. Froch controls the distance and does his awkward lean-over while turned sideways as a slimmer target. Johnson is jabbing and throwing rights low but not getting close. Froch is pecking at him with up-jabs from his low sling. Froch is bending his lead knee and thrusting his jab out without getting close to Johnson with his feet. Johnson jabs hard and lands a chopping right behind it, but Froch backs him up with a high jab to the face. Johnson lunges with a jab to the body, missing. Froch is just lightly sprinkling his high jab on Johnson's face, barely touching him but managing to outscore him just slightly. 10-9 Froch
If Johnson wants to win he needs to put that pressure on. Not much action in round 1 but that round favors Froch
