He can't pull the trigger anymore his combos lacked any real thudding power, they were far from straight and his overall speed and footwork was really lacking not to mention his precision was shot to ****. A *prime* Kessler like the one that battled Andrade would have had the french guy out in 3 of that I am sure. Prime Kessler threw quick punches in succession with point point accuracy. Kessler looked pretty good he still has gas in the tank remember he has had a long lay off and considering that he has a couple of good perfomances in him yet I'd love to see a Froch rematch
He was competitive and beat Froch in an even fight. If that Kessler is shot then imagine what a not shot Kessler will do to Froch.
He looked better than he did against Froch (albeit against a much lesser opponent). The opponent doesn't change the fact that he was much sharper and was able to move and use the jab better than he did in his last few fights. If you can't see that, well...
He looked excellent. He seemed to have gotten his speed up a little as well. Don't know what the TS is talking about
I think he looked like he was almost back to his pre-perdomo days. Only a little speed is needed and he used to handle on-coming guys really well.. In tis one his defense seemed bad still. So precision seems to be back, and the rust is coming off his offense.. now he needs to get his defense back to pre-perdomo and further.
In a way you can say that. Movement was not Bouadla's strong side. He was tough, but lacked movement just like the likes of Andrade, Bika, Brinkley, and Magee. All would be called statues... Oh.. and all are recent Bute opponents.
Stop the "never been stopped before" bull**** please. When Bute will smash Mendy, who i miles ahead of Bouadla, I won't say he won against an unbeaten opponent to try to make it a good win.

I think Andrade is better sure... but if we talk about bad movement - and call bad movers for statues... Andrade sure qualifies as well as Bouadla.
Hmm...I don't know I guess we will see. personally I feel his win is being over rated because the guy he fought literally stood there and fired nothing back and kessler has always been a bit of a swarmer. I just think back to the Andrade kessler man that dude was a ****ing wrecking machine and his footwork was superb - in > bash bash bash > out. I think people look and hand speed - especially againsty a statue and then forget the importance of footspeed. no doubt he'll get Steigeltz' WBO beltbut after that I dunno...I don't think he'll do much a rematch with Froch would only happen in the UK and the result would be different. Bute would win a home decision likewise as would Ward if they fought again.
Critique: - Kessler could have moved around Bouadla some more. Bouadla came forward and Kessler could have moved around him and protected himself a bit better. He didn't outmaneuvre Bouadla like he did with Andrade. As a result of this Kessler got hit a good deal. I don't know if Kessler deliberately decided to stand in front of Bouadla most of the match, so as to be able to fire away at Bouadla all the time, or if it was because his footwork was lacking. I do think one of the ways Montoya tries to shape Kessler, is to make him more physically imposing and hard on his opponent - as a way to make up for the potential superior speed and slickness of opponents a la Ward and Calzaghe. So maybe Kessler's in-your-face style last night was a result of that. While he got hit himself some, Bouadla took a lot of punishment in those 6 rounds. - Kessler's timing and precision was good, it seemed better than in his last couple of fights, although against an opponent who was an easier target - He mixed up his punches nicely, more than usual - Kessler still needs to work on the whole clinching thing and infighting. He got hit both while going in to a clinch and while breaking from clinches. Should he meet someone like Ward again, he has to be better prepared for what to do in the face of messy clinching and infight.
