watching the fight last night. i could not help but think about how many clean punches he would have taken when roy. when roy was 168lbs he was the biggest puncher in the weight class. and he uses to hit his oppenents at will.
i doin't beleave froch has a better chin then clinton woods. i dont think he would have went 5rds before being stopped. after a few knock downs. then after the fight people would be saying roys fighting bums

    All true.

OTOH, Froch should be able to get a points win at LHW if he fights Roy in a couple years. That is the path well traveled. Carl has the lateral movement of a very old horse but RJJ hasn't had any legs since coming down from heavyweight eight years ago.

You lost all credibility when you compared Clinton Woods to Froch, and rated Clinton Woods chin as better. Good try though, better luck next time.

clinton woods chin was very very good. alot better then froch who was droped by taylor. who looked hurt agasint dirrel.
who does not hit as hard as roy or tarver. those fighters hit clinton woods with hugh punchers but woods took them well did not look hurt but the ref called it off cause of the beating he was taking

put it this way the punchers jones landed on woods froch would have lasted a max 3 to 4rds

Clinton's chin is better, never down against Jones, Tarver, Johnson. He fought a much younger Johnson too

To be honest, this really isn't saying much.

Your pointing out that someone would have lost to Roy in his prime. Roy was pretty much untouchable in his prime, not many people ranging back through the ages would have been able to compete with him. Widely regarded as perhaps the best EVER at the weight class.

Anyone competing at SMW right now has a hell of a lot to do before they establish themself as somebody who could even compete with Roy, let a lone win.

The amount of reaching Froch does, how mechanical and slow he is to react to quick fighters who stay out range(Dirrell), Roy would dance around him like a maypole and paint his face with fast hard punches.

Froch would probably get marooned out in center ring getting out-speeded, an eventually taken out.

Who the **** cares ?, because guess what ?, a prime RJJ and a current froch cant fight ok, ****s sake take it to the classic section. This **** gets on my goat, a prime tyson would smoke wlad, a prime ali would smoke vitali etc etc etc. ****s sake it cant be proved and its such a cop out to knock a modern fighter when there is **** all ways to prove it, you dont know for sure do you ?, so shut the **** up you complete ******

Totally agree , its for the classic section and not the general, i like reading this stuff there, but its just a huge knock at a guy by bringing up old elite fighters, and its really pathetic and to be honest smacks of desperation

The speed and slickness of Jones Jr would be to much for Froch. He's improved in recent fights, but the opposition pretty much allowed him to. Against Kessler and Dirrell he got hit with some flush, plum shots. Can only see RJJ taking away a victory.
