Good solid win for Carl tonight a real nice work out 10 decent rounds.

As for Andy Murray those first few rounds ****ed him up IF he was ever going to win a European title it was tonight. Rees started well but gased big time. If Andy was to try and work the body in the earlier rounds he could of gased earlier than he did. 1 point deduction and then Rees held on until the end of the fight. What a shame.

I'm disappointed overall in Andy's defeat. But I can take positives from this performance tonight, in that he showed a good chin, good resolve and good stamina. Andy can learn and come again from this defeat.

Didnt get to see to Andy's fight just seen the result how did he do. seen carls fight , turley was a though fighter and carlos put in a nice few rounds of work, have not seen the replay but watching it live i thought carls was half a step to close for the first 6 rounds and half a step out of range for the last 4.

Carl's fight was a *******- that boy Turley is one brave lad and has a ******* of a chin. Rees looked a class above in the opening rounds-but Rees was gone (and admitted so i the dressing room after) at the end.

Maidana is a huge hit For HBO in his past few fights i dont see how a random fight in Europe for no titles and probably less money is going to appeal to him?

Dont know about that, he might see it as an easy fight. Mccloskey is still fairly well ranked i presume and it could be another fight to build up to another world title fight. It also did say that they agreed, albeit in principal:think

Lads, McGuigan talked last night about the beginning of Frampton's coverage on Sky etc, so I take it the apparent 6-fight Setanta deal is terminated. I havent heard anything official (or I missed it) but it seems that the Setanta Ireland deal is a dead duck, and so too McGuigan's foray in the world of boxing promotions?

Does anyone know if this is confirmed or if McGuigan will run shows either in conjunction with Matchroom or on Setanta Ireland? I prefer McGuigan/Matchroom alliance myself and a presence on Sky will be far better for Frampton, plus a better budget to put on a better undercard.

He will get more coverage on sky no doubt about it. Could be very good for his career and it could make him a lot more popular.

Gutted to hear Murray lost. Sounds like he was well beaten. Where does he go from here? Eddie Hyland would be a tasty fight.

 I'm sure Peters is looking to get back in the game alright.

Just watched last nights fights back.

I thought Carl won every round to be honest. It's a pity he couldn't spark Turley but he seems a tough lad. I'd still like Carl to be at least forcing stoppages against lads at that level. Hitting after the bell was a bit silly as well. It was miles after the bell went. Handy win and all but still room to improve. I'm a little bit worried that he seems to mark up a bit in most fights.

Andy Murray gave it a good go but he looked as limited as I've always thought he is. I don't see him progressing beyond this level anyway. I feel like he missed the boat a bit last night to be honest. It was there for the taking. Rees was badly gassed and a bit lucky to get away with his holding after the deduction.

Froch was garbage IMO. Honestly thought he was brutal until Johnson slowed down. Ward will take him to school.

Did anyone see Chavez Jr v Zbik by the way? I'd like to know how it went. Close enough it seems on the cards which makes me think Chavez probably got another ropey decision in his favour but I probably only think that because I don't like the ****er :deal
