    Ward holds the all-time record for number of hate threads against (Pacquiao, Mayweather not included). Froch is rather well-loved on ESB, despite (lets face it) his absurd rabbit punching and body-slamming antics in the Dirrell fight. Ward has done nothing even remotely approaching that flagrant in any of his fights. He comprehensively outboxed Kessler and the headbutts occurred late in the fight and were accidental, if a bit reckless. This is boxing, though.

    Second point. Jermain Taylor's career was ended by AA in the first round. A Brutal KO by a devastating puncher can end a career. Ward got a bad draw in the super six in facing Kessler and I'm glad you can admit the point.

    As it turned out, yes. But at the time, Ward was considered a green, chinny, unproven fighter who barely deserved to be included. Kessler was a proven champion and the best SMW in the world.

    Showtime threw Ward in to the deep end.

    Not really. I don't hold it against Ward personally because I know he's just doing what is in his best interest. If Froch could fight out of Nottingham each time, you can guarantee he would. The issue though, is the fairness of the final. Can it really be a fair final if it's help anywhere but a neutral ground?

    I really don't think so. Especially when you consider some of the poor decisions in other fights where the home fighter has clearly benefitted from the referees or judges. Would Kessler have been allowed to be headbutted in Denmark? Would Dirrell have been given the DQ win in Germany? There is a clear favouritism to the home fighter and that's been proven many times.

    Responding more directly to what you said, the fans do have a right to "cry" about some things. Is it fair that I'll have to pay thousands to have seen Froch fight in this tournament whereas Ward's fans haven't had to leave their home state? Come on, that's not fair at all. You're talking about the difference between a quick ride in a car and getting back within an hour or so, and flying thousands of miles to a different continent, staying in a hotel for at least a few days, paying for food and all the rest. As a fan, I have a right to complain.

    Ward should come to London for Froch, it would be only fair.

    If Froch was a PPV fighter in the UK then it could happen but why on earth don't the Brits embrace Froch? He fights tough-as-nails opposition, is a great boxer, has exciting fights and still he doesn't make get big money fights in the UK.

    I don't get it.

    Jack, Jack, Jack....:-(............When a US-fighter beat the guy from the next block, he is a World Champion, when EU-fighters travel the world to get some fights - they are bums.............Simple as that - why is it that difficult to understand........??? What kind of boxing fan are you..........:huh

    Why should Ward travel to England, Canada or EU to fight in front of 10-15000 spectators, when he could fight at home in front of 1000-2000 .....?
    And do you recognize, that the US-fans has to watch the fight at 5-7 pm........whitch would ruin there supper.......Please boxing fans here are.....................:-(

    Exactly. Froch/Ward would be a very big fight in England and would sell a good 20,000 seats quite easily. There's no way they'll do that in America. Put a good undercard on, and Mathroom have enough fighters for a good undercard, and I think 30,000 fans would be easily doable.

    If it was financially beneficial for the final to be in America, fine, but I don't think it is.

    By the way, nice to see Kessler back, mate :good He's a warrior.

    I think that depends largely on how the public respond to Froch after this one fight. If there's genuine interest in him then I think it could be PPV. I think he will be in the papers and on mainstream TV, so, yeah, I'm optimistic.

    A while ago, I don't think Matchroom had the stable to hold a PPV. I think they could now though. They had a good stable of fighters, well capable of adding to a PPV on the undercard.
