Good win for Chavez, I dont see him beating Martinez though! Cotto possibly if he keeps coming foward relentless like that to the body.

That's a bit disrespectful. Would you call a Cuban world title holder a bum? I think not.

Sure, Lara was a bum in his last fight. Solís was a fat bum vs. K.

Chávez Jr. has always been a bum who has been pushed into boxing by his father and sponsored and over-hyped by TVAzteca. He's gotten gift decisions and fighters who can't punch their ways out of wet paper bags.

He would have been KO'd in the first 3 rounds with someone with a little power.

He gets KTFO by Martinez, and losses to Cotto by UD.

 You are just butthurt that Jr. is such a mediocre bum.

I daresay one of the least known Cuban fighters, Yudel Johnson, even at 154 pounds gives him a boxing clinic.

You're not temporarily a bum. They either are bums, always have been and always will or they aren't. Which is it?

I think he has improved a lot since his earlier days. Either way, he isn't a bum. Will he beat Martinez, hell no, then again Martinez would murder most middleweights. He's a solid fighter and a legitimate contender.

He has nothing left to prove. 44 have tried and 44 have failed!

I disagree, if you don't fix your mistakes, you inevitably fall into the bum category. If Lara keeps doing the same mistake of going into his shell, which by the way is very good, in the future, he will be a bum in my eyes.

The only thing that improved about Jr. was his physical strength, he is a very mediocre and rudimentary fighter. Roach can't fix his genetics. Maybe Jr. takes after his mother, being the son of a champion doesn't give you abilities automatically.

I'm positively sure his father pushed him to box. He is a nice kid and all, but you could tell he didn't want to be in the ring once he started getting heavy shots. He was lucky it was Zbik last night.
