Ward Kessler Froch Bute has the potential but needs to step it up before he can be truly rated high in this division.
This is probably the most objective list based on actual achievements. Dirrell and Bute could mix it up in there, but they both haven't really fought anyone.
"Homeboy" Ward Kessler Froch Dirrell Bute - Not tested yet against top 4 so please don't overrate him!!!
Why do people rate Dirrell so high? He havent beaten a single world champion yet, he may have talent, but he have not proven much nor been a consistent threat @168.. You can say all you want about how Dirrell was robbed against Froch, and how exceptional he looked against Abraham, but facts are that he have never beaten a world champ, and is 0-1 in world championship fights.. IMO you can't go with those "coulda, shoulda, woulda" theories in boxing
ward froch kessler and after froch beats ward, and kessler beats bute, ward will drop to 3rd, rematch between froch and kessler in a neutral country where it would be a true 50/50 fight. pavlik to fight bute/ward, see if he can hang with the big boys. I trully do beleive that Bute is just a hype job tho, he may have skills but he has fought NO ONE.
Of course not! You must be a full time UFC fan, and part time boxing "observer". Top three -Ward -Dirrell -Froch There ain't a Euro-bum lover like Kessler or AA in the top-3 listing.
Ward and Bute are the class of 168. Until Froch faces Kessler again in a rematch and wins or of course beats Ward (which won't happen) that is they way it is. Froch gets too much credit for his heart and chin. He keeps his hands by his waste, has below average footwork and medicore power at best. Ward will make him pay for keeping his lands low and will be easily able to swim without getting wet using his jab and his short and effective combinations. Vs Glen Johnson I was shocked how he let the old man land so many effective shots especially landing over 100 jabs. Glen Johnson landed all the big shots but with 42 year old legs he was not able to follow up like a Ward will. I give credit to Froch for fighting tough opp and for his heart and will and a lot of it, however as last night on SHO they seemed to be giving rounds to Froch because he could take the shots well and fire back combinations even though they missed. Absurd. The same as him as a fighter overall, just because you face tough opposition does not make you the best in the class you still have to beat the best. He lost to Kessler, and fought close with Dirrell and Johnson. He will lose handily to Ward and be taken out by a Bute.
Yeah that's how boxing need to be judge! in fact we don't need judges , just take a look at the fighters faces after the fight atsch
Dude, do you really think if you say Froch won enough times people will start believing you? lol He clearly lost that fight, he didn't have the boxing ability to beat Kessler unlike Ward and Calzaghe, get over it and just admit it
