    ward froch bute

Cant' wait to see Froch vs Ward, and think Ward will have his hands full, but will most likely win UD.

I too have Froch over Kessler, and have him winning a rematch. The first fight is anywhere else than Finland, Froch wins.

Bute shouldn't be listed because of his underrated record. If he beats elite fighters, fair enough, but to rank him because he was handed a world title and has defended it against weak opponents is simply wrong. I like Bute. I think he's a good, entertaining fighter but the only reason he can be rated in the top 3 is because of his undefeated streak and that means as much as Ottke's, in all honesty. When he beats elite fighters, which I think he'll do, fine, rate him highly but not until then.

    The clear top 3 is:

    Ward
    Froch
    Kessler

You can have any variation of those three but they are the top 3, without question. Anyone else being in the top 3 is impossible to defend based on resume. Anyone listing someone like Dirrell, who isn't top 8, is truly deluded. He simply isn't that good and would have lost to Johnson last night.

    1.Ward
    2,Dirrell
    3.Froch

When Bute beats someone relevant ,and depending on his performance , he might get a spot .

Dirrell is nowhere near the top 3. Average fighter who hasn't beaten a single good fighter cleanly.

That's not even what I'm saying :nono
It just makes more damn sense on how you're going to rank them. I'm not saying ward will beat Froch since he beat Kessler, but he should be ranked higher than him.
Kessler was the guy to beat going into this tournament and only lost to Calzaghe. Ward beat him and took his spot. He hasn't lost since then and has stayed impressive while Froch lost to Dirrell imo and lost to Kessler.

The way I see it, Ward is number one and Kessler has a stronger case for number 2 than Froch does.

Dirrell has clear wins over AA, and clearly beat Froch although Froch received the European free hand-out gift decision.
Dirrell exposed both of these so-called champions.
Anyone rating Froch, AA or Kessler above Dirrell is deluded. :yep

Based on talent I think dirrell is clearly the best in the business.

Based on resume kessler is easily the most accomplished.

But based on the current ranking systems i'd say it has to be:

    Ward
    Froch
    Bute
    Kessler
    Johnson
    Stieglitz
    Pavlik

Dirrell is unranked due to inactivity. Kessler rejoins the ranking after a long absence. Bute drops down another place due to poor recent opposition in comparison to ward and froch.

I see no valid argument to keep ward and froch out of the top 2 of a fair ranking system in light of the absence suffered by dirrell and kessler compounded with bute's recent oppositio.

Froch beat Dirrell. Dirrell beat Abraham on a DQ so that's not a clean win.

There is no justification for Dirrell in the top 5, based on talent or resume. He's beaten nobody cleanly and he's not that good.

    Pretty much .

Some people just choose not to admit it but Dirrell ended both Abraham/Froch undefeated streaks .

    Dirrell dominated both .

Dirrell himself had admitted he didn't dominate Froch and understands why he lost. Let's stop this nonsense.
