Well, there opponents were both teak tough, but skill wise on the same
level. Kessler handled his guy much better than did pavlik, but's that's not
why i think he'd decision kelly. He's just a little sharper, quicker, and more
settled in at 168. Kelly's not felt the punches of a full fledged sharp
puncher like kessler, but kess has felt froch's punches who punches at
    least as deadly as kelly.

Pavlik does not have the moves and he is there to be hit. Kessler will take him out in brutal fashion.

Lopez and Bouadla are the same level c minus fighters. Don't let Lopez being undefeated fool ya. His level of opponents he beat are damn bums. Has Kelly ko any real good fighters at 168 pounds to make you think he hits harder then proven 168 puncher in Kessler?

In the original thread, I picked Kessler. After Saturday night, I'm even more sure of it.

my bad, IB. i thought you said it was the vacant WBO title, and that you were saying that it was basically a european title. watching the fight, they said he was WBC champion emeritus. there was nothing about a bogus title. but i've just been on boxrec, and it says "WBO european super middleweight title"... never heard of that one before. so many pointless, shitty title's out there it's unreal.

    my apologies, man. :good

IMO Lopez was a better fighter than Than Kesslers guy! It showed Kess Can still hurt someone though! IDK what too say but My gut still says Pavlik can pull the WIN off!

Going way back to 2006 when I joined ESB I've always been amazed by the way posters underrate Pavlik. Pavlik has been seriously hurt exactly one time in his entire career. On that occassion he came back and handed out a serious ass whoopin' in the very next round. Kessler would not stop Pavlik. That is a rather silly prediction. Kessler has never stopped a world class opponent.

If the fight ended in a KO or TKO, it is far more likely that Pavlik would stop Kessler

Kessler does not move his head much. Kessler is proned to discouragement when things do not go his way. Kessler does not have great defense. Kessler is not particularly fast. He does not present any kind of stylistic challenge.

I would love to see this fight, but for me personally, I'd only want to see it under circumstances where both men have their jab, and their 1-2, as sharp as they can possibly be.
