Dirrell is the most naturally gifted boxer in the mix,BUT he has no heart. The Dirrell vs Froch fight was a close fight, and a case could be made for either winning, but to say he dominated Froch is pure delusion. Dirrell vs Abraham showed us that Abraham can be outboxed, and hurt with clean shots,BUT as well as Dirrel schooled Abraham to begin with,Abraham was starting to find his range, and had a legitimate KD ruled out in the 10th,then Dirrell put on an Oscar winning performance after being hit by cheap shot.
froch beats kessler in a rematch and dirrell beats kessler top three is ward froch dirrell then kessler
The Ring magazine. After the fight, his trainers admitted fault. Since the fight, Shaw has accepted Dirrell lost. Yet for whatever reason, there's a few staunch supporters who refuse to admit it when everyone else has moved on. It's over. Froch won.
MrPR, You are an astute and insightful poster who clearly has an unbiased and informed opinion of the fights of which I am speaking. Welcome to the board! :good ESB needs more knowledgeable posters like yourself whose boxing insight is becoming rare here on ESB. Jack, most of your post was insightful and accurate also. You just when astray on this particular subject. :good :yep
When a fighter lands more then the majority of his punches on nothing but air while the other is making him miss while clearly outclassing/outboxing him. . I find it very very hard to call that a close fight .
Waste is a word to describe fight fans from England like yourself that have an undeniable almost idiotic bias towards English fighters ruining the name of knowledgeable and interesting UK fight fans as a whole. :bbb
Did Froch dominate Glen Johnson? Is "dominating" a requirement to win a boxing match if you're Andre Dirrell? As has been repeatedly shown with extensive video footage, Dirrell landed all the clean shots in his fight with Froch. It's not even controversial. He won but he did not "win" on the scorecards. Whether he dominated is completely irrelevant and it's odd and slightly bizarre that you should raise the point at all. Pernell Whitaker didn't dominate Chavez, but he won. Ali didn't dominate Frazier (and vice versa) but he won. I mean, what on earth are you talking about?
I keep asking in vein for people to point me to a landed Froch punch in that fight, other than one in the third round where Dirrell was moving away. On the other hand it would take awhile to list all the flush punches to Froch's head that Dirrell landed, including in the tenth where Froch was visibly wobbled and covering up on the ropes. It's a case study in delusional thought that fascinates me!
It's a complete distortion of what he said as has been pointed out recently in one of the countless other Direll-Froch threads.
Because i like what Froch does ? Please look back through my posts and show me where i show "an undeniable almost idiotic bias towards English fighters " ????????????????? I'm not even English :rofl
