I said "dominated" because it's the word he used. He said Dirrell dominated Froch and I disagreed, so you're essentially agreeing with me but because you didn't read what I actually said, you disagreed with me.

    Strange.

No doubt, Dirrell belongs in the top 3 well before a no body who has fought no body like Bute does.

Even if he has, why would he deserve to be? He's yet to cleanly beat an elite opponent. As it stands, his win resume is nonexistant.

As a fighter, he does so many things wrong, it's crazy that he's rated so highly. If you look at all the things that make up a good boxer, his opponents at 168 outmatch him clearly.

Power: Froch, Taylor, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, Bute...
Footwork: Ward, Taylor, Johnson, Bute, Kessler...
Combinations: Froch, Johnson, Ward, Bute, Abraham, Kessler...
Variety: Johnson, Froch, Ward, Kessler, Bute...
Heart: Johnson, Froch, Kessler, Ward, Bute, Abraham...You could go on all day.
Ring intelligence: Froch, Johnson, Ward, Kessler, Bute...
Punch output: Froch, Ward, Johnson, Kessler, Bute...
    Chin: Froch, Johnson, Kessler, Ward...

I think a lot of people will take offense to me saying that five elite fighters have better footwork but it's true. His footwork is incredibly poor for someone whose foot speed is his biggest asset. When you look at his faults, the list goes on and on. He has incredibly fast hands, he's agile and he has fast feet. He is not a top 5 fighter though.

LOL, you have no idea of how much power Bute has. So far, he has fought only bums and only succeeded in KO'ing bums like Andrade, Wiggins, and Brinkley.
You Bute illusionists are pure comedians! :rofl:rofl

Then there is your promotion of Froch's ring intelligence being above Dirrell's when Dirrell clearly exposed Froch's lack of real boxing skills by repeatedly tagging his jaw and making him miss hundreds of punches.

    Andrade has/had a granite jaw.

Running away, ducking below the waistline, and clinching are great ways to make your opponent miss.Dirrell is a master of the technique.

man I repsect you as a poster, but that list is really really off. You left off one of the most important things and that is speed. How about dense as well. I'm sure Dirrell would crack a few spots there. Also are you sure Froch and Johnson are smarter than Ward

    Against Whom?

His only semi-meaningful fights are against mediocre punchers like Bute and Kessler.:patsch

No, I left off foot speed, agility and hand speed because I later said that Dirrell probably has the best of those. I'm not going to lie to discredit Dirrell because I don't think I have to. I think all the facts about him are thee and even I can't deny that Dirrell has very, very fast hands, he's agile and he has fast feet. However, I think that's were the praise really ends.

As far as defence goes, I didn't mention that because I know it would attract a lot of attention. As far as defensive techniques go, I think Ward, Johnson, Abraham and Froch are superior. Dirrell's defence is purely his agility and, as I said, I rate that very highly but he isn't defensively skilled I don't think.

I don't want to seem too negative about Dirrell because it would seem like I'm hating. Everything I said though, I believe it's true. I don't think Dirrell deserves to be mentioned as one of the top 5 best fighters in the division.

Seriously, if you are going to say someone like Kessler is a mediocre puncher then there's no point in debating with you. It's like me saying "the sky is blue" and you saying "no, it isn't, it's a bright pink with lots of little glittery stars!". I can't debate against that type of post.
