Yeah I thought it was pretty ****ed that all of a sudden Hayne was under the microscope for his attitude again purely because he'd been left out of Ricky's first SOO team. The thing with Hayne I reckon is that he's got such a cruisy laidback look to him that when he's not ripping the opposition to shreds, people accuse him of being lazy - his face never seems to change expression but obviously wheels are turning behind it. I used to think he was a lazy arrogant git when he first came into first grade, but I changed my mind after watching him for a while - he's got serious talent and I don't believe he has any problem with his attitude - Ricky added insult to injury when he used the good old 'attitude' excuse for omitting Hayne from the team.
...opposed to smooth sailin' in the Queensland camp...although there'll be a couple of minor changes...obviously Inglis will be in for Tonga and I'd reckon Taylor'll come onto the bench and force Lillyman back to 18th man...:gun
And then to include your mate Watmough in the wake of that is laughable. As Rusty mentioned earlier, according to the Gospel of Ricky, Hayne was not chosen either because: 1. He didn't want to play him out of position 2. His attitude problem So then Ricky 1. Chooses both Hayne and Hopoate out of position. 2. With Dugan possibly out, instead of moving Hayne to fullback. Continues to play him out of position by probably selecting old man Miniciello and 3. With regards to attitude selects a guy who the media leads us to believe had his card marked "never to play Origin again" for attitude and behavioural issues. I also laughed when I read that Stuart says he doesn't have to justify his selections. As a player he was brilliant and unlucky to be in the same era as Langer or else his light would have shone twice as bright. But his public persona is one of a petulant, sulking egomaniac who plays favourites with certain players. I hope Hayne dominates and makes him eat crow.
100% agree. I bet Hayne just sits at home shaking his head about all the bull**** he reads about himself.
why the **** is Minichello set to be picked? what about Stewart? What about Hayne? Minichello is an old **** who is too fragile for Origin and is about half way down the list of guys that should be chosen
I have no idea why they would choose Mini. Ricky probably still thinks its 2003. Karn the mighty Tigers. Need Benji to tear it up tonight for my fantasy team.
Yep, Ricky's a ****, he always was, great player, but a **** of a bloke. Glad to see Watmough back in, he'll put some starch into the NSW backline, could be a gamewinner. Interested to see how young Hoppa goes, geez he's got an old head on his shoulders, nothing seems to have fazed him thus far in his career, I reckon he'll fit into SOO quite nicely. Yep. Poor bloke turned himself around a few years ago after being shot at in Kings Cross, shows a lot of respect for his church and elders (learnt a fair bit of humility playing for Fiji in the RL WC) yet we've got the original grub in Ricky Stuart taking shots at his attitude just because he doesn't win the game for Parra every week :-(
You wait and see, Mini'll pick up an injury in SOO 2 and have to be replaced for the 3rd game anyway. **** the Tony Mush/Count-looking **** off and let him play out the rest of his career as a clubman. **** you ***git ****s
You know you were already thinking that anyway teeks... Must be great to have 2 teams in the comp to go for eh?
